i agree with you on all of that 100% especially Luke :)
simon's funny but if i have to choose between him and jace i;de defenitly pick jace ^_^
I hate him! No offense... But Jace is just SO much better.
I think Simon is funny....I don't really know how you could hate him...and loyal to a fault.
okay i'm just new here and i've read all the commentsall i can say is that simon is okay from the COB
but i fell in love with his character after that
his my favorite character from the entire series maybe because i'm not totally into jace and clary romance...
I love Simon! I don't see how you can't love him. I think he's fun and he's loyal to Clary even though she picked Jace.
im not saying simon should be with clary because i dont think that but i ADORE simon and it seems like everyones only looking at him as a love interest of clary or comparing him to jace and thats kinda unfair because thats over clary chose jace so simon should be judged on his character and not on his compatability with clary, just saying

Simon is great as Clary's friend and you should not compare him to Jace.
I love Simon, hes my favorite.

If I hated anyone in City of Ashes it would be Clary. She's a complete biach for doing what she did to Simon.

WHATEVER! i love simon. I just wanted to hug him a lot in the books ( sadly can't damn it reality ) i Ship myself and simon together. Deal with it.
I like Simon. I just feel like he will always be second compared to Jace :( Robert Sheehan will be the perfect Simonin the movie.

Ditto. In my opinion, the cast has turned out to be a huge disappointment, and not because Alex Pettyfer, whose acting I loathe, turned down the role of Jace. Obiviously, Cassandra Clare had different images of the characters that she created than the images that the fans had of them. I don't begrudge her those creative differences, but I really wish that she had found some sort of middle ground with the fans. Then again, these are her characters. Perhaps Clare really does know what is best in this situation?

This i true, it was her choice and she is the one who wrote the book. i just hope there acting is not as bad as i think and they do end up making the movie good. I was so mad when Alex Pettyfer turned it down. all we can do is sit and wait, hope for the best.
did you guys check the new website she launched? It's awesome, it has all info in one place.anyways, not a huge fan of Alex Pettyfer. I mean he's so cliche, ya know? My fav cast so far is Isabelle and clary and simon!woot. the guy for magnus also looks kinda weird.NOT.HOW.I.IMAGINED. I mean, obv, we all prob imagined the characters differently lol but still. Meh, I guess we just have to put up with this stuff. As fans, we don't really have a say in this.

I love Simon... he's so funny and is an amazing friend to Clary... I do agree that it's kind of annoying that Cassie Clare messes with everyone's emotions, like you have a heart attack because you think Simon's dead, and then NOPE! He's alive!

I don't hate Simon but I did find him annoying at first but that is probably just because of how much I love jace I just felt like he was in the way of clary and jace getting together , but I honestly did think he was whinny at first he got better as the books went on but never was one of my favorites or even close .
I personally hate Simon. I understand that he's loved Clary for 10 years and all, but he really needs to realize that nothing is ever gonna happen between them. I figured that after the Queen said Clary has to kiss the guy she most desires and she kisses Jace, Simon would get the hint and just stop thinking it's gonna work out between them. And the fact that he'd get pissed off whenever Clary even said Jace's name annoyed me. I mean seriously, get over yourself. She's allowed to talk about her brother....that she loves and wants to be with instead of him.....okay maybe Simon has a the right to be mad, but I still don't like him.
I really started to get annoyed by Simon by the end of City of Ashes, but in City of Glass, i totally changed my opinion. He's really awesome, even if he's not my favorite character. Izzy and Simon chapters make me so happy and i love them together.
Ok. So in the first book he started to annoy me. But then in i think the 3rd book i started to like him. Or whenever he got turned into a vampire. I dont remember which book it was.
I kind of feel sorry for Simon, after reading the first book only, but I don't exactly like him. I think he seems to be getting too much limelight...I wish he would become more of a minor character, not so much in the foreground.
he got turned in the first. when he bit the vampire. he became a day walker. but i think he is cute.
I didn't like him in the first book, but i really love him now. Especially since my OTP is Sizzy.

Simon kind of got on my nerves but then when I got into the next books I started to really like him
I think for me he really came alive in COA. While I liked him in COB I found myself liking him more and more as the series progressed. His line about he describes Magnus in COA had me rolling. Certainly he has some of the best lines in TMI.
Simon is okay... I feel bad for him like Cait said. At first I really liked him, but after the whole Isabelle thing, urghhhhh... He's okay...
I actually love Simon, but sometimes I just can't stand him. OkayIn the beginning of City of Bones I loved him, then throughout the book I hated him. But in City of Ashes, I completely changed my mind about i'm and I actually got to love him so much. I just hate it when he gets jealous of Jace.
I liked him for about ten pages... then I understood he was so not gonna be the hero of the series and I moved on. REally, now I just keep asking myself why hasn't he died when he did. I mean, c'mon Simon, aren't you even able to die as everyone else?
