Rylan parted her lips and shook her head a little. "I--" she sighed, looking up at him again and stepping forward. "I'm scared." she said honestly.

Charley stepped forward as well, wrapping his arms around her, although he couldn't actually touch her. He exhaled, relieved that was willing to share with him. "Why?" he titled his head, no judgement in his eyes.
"I still see ghosts-- they still tells me things--" she shook a little, wanting nothing more then to really touch him. To lean into his touch that she imagined to be warm.
Charley frowned. "What kind of things do they tell you, that make you scared?" he asked, stepping closer protectively. He was careful not to get too close though, because he found it kind of freaky when he went through people.
((lol XD)) Rylan breathed, "They... Show me how they died." she said, not feeling awkward in the least. Though a very, very faint blush tinged her cheeks. "Sometimes I even experience it..." she shivered.
Charley bit his lip. "That's not very nice of them," he said softly, reaching for her hand. He closed his eyes for a second, cursing the fact that he was a ghost.
Rylan reached for his hand but stopped just short of his transparent fingers. Slowly she gulped and nodded a little, "Being stabbed is not something I ever wish to witness." she said softly.
"Or experience," Charley said kindly. "Okay," he let go of the breath he'd been holding in. "We can go now," he smiled. He didn't even ralize he was stroking the side of her face until he felt her breath. He blinked suddenly, and moved back, looking sheepish. "it's this way," he tilted his head toward the door.
Rylan's cheeks heated up slightly with a red blush, "Alright," she said lightly, biting the inside of her bottom lip. "Oh, and Charley... Thank you."
"For listening." she answered, gently smiling. The smile felt unfamiliar on her face but she was fairly sure that it was meant to be there.
Charley's breath caught in his throat. "Smile more often," he said softly. "It makes you look beautiful."
Ryaln's heart fluttered at that. "I--Thank you." she repeated, then moved forward in small steps towards the door, turning her head to look at him. "A lot." she smiled ever so softly. This is so weird...
Charley grinned and gave her a small salute before following. "You're welcome, m'lady," he said, opening the door with his mind and gesturing for her to go first.
Rylan bit her bottom lip to keep the smile away as she nodded a big and walked out of the door, looking behind her at him.
Jahlia ( (the lovely abnix, thing 10 Evil 1)) wrote: ""I'm sorry for being an asshat then."((O.O this is the first time I've ever used this term.))"
((lol I use it all the time to my friends... Jokingly of course xD ))
"Good for you, but I doubt you're going to stop acting like one so whatever," she said dismissively. She sat on one of the really cushy couches and flipped open the book to the first page.
(( DDDDD= GR totally ate up my reply!!!! and yay I'm so bringing her when it starts))She nodded slowly and bit her lip. "Think you ever going to stop being an asshat?"
She shrugged. "Let's see, I went to my room, left cuz my roommate and her BF were together there, came here, oh and sucked your blood," she gave a slight smirk
((nighty~))She shook her head, "Not much point having parents around when those like me mature so quickly. When we're young we can look like a six year old and have the maturity of at least a 11 year old
((10:17 here and a crappy internet >.> ))"Gacanagh. Basically, we feed off emotions mostly," she yawned like it was no big deal
((OMG YOU READ WICKED LOVELY SERIES BEFORE?))She made a face, "Well, kinda like blood too but that's when we're desperate."
((LOVE HIM!!! Keenan and Seth are ok, but I just love the dark court XD even Bananach [is that right?] =P))She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "Nooo..." she said slowly
((Ahhhhhh I just love Irial... We should get one of them to get a tattoo thingy like in the book too lol))
((I don't know, I've only met one American and she's in my class and she was pretty nice to me but now she's acting kinda mean... But I'm not so narrow index I'm going to say the entire American population is like that =.= but I don't think Singaporeans hate Americans, we can't afford to hate anyone since we're so tiny one nuclear bomb and the island goes bye bye O.O ))
((Yeah! Awesome xD Still, I don't think we hate Americans though we have a sort of stereotype of certain foreign tourists =P we call them 'Ang mohs', pronounced like ah-ng more (sorta). They're the people with really light colored hair, fair skin with sun burns and walk around everywhere with a camera and a bag of stuff. =P sunburns are cuz Singapore is always super hot with really strong sunlight and all))Her face flushed hotly at the accusation, "Am not."
((Not sure if that's the American stereotype, or the English one =P Singapore is a little mixed up jumble with small bits of everything inside =D Watchu sick with btw?))She looked away, not meeting his eyes. "I'm not lying," she mumbled, obviously lying.
((O.O needles are my archnemesis! And my parents are doctors too... >.> living in singapore's pretty cool I guess. We have places like little India and Chinatown in Singapore that's kinda like their names, but everybody no matter what religion can go to wherever. And its REALLY REALLY HOT in Singapore. All year round. If its not sweltering hot, then it's pouring like crazy. Oh and weather reports are never to be trusted. Ever.))"Not like anyone would notice," she shrugged, trying to avoid looking directly into his eyes.
((lol yay tell me about America! I have like, really little knowledge outside Obama's the president and he shot a marshmallow cannon once.))"You'd only notice because you'd have lost a blood pack. Big deal, you would just find someone else and get over it," she waved it off, turning her head away
((ummmmmm 50? *guessing* or is that the stars on the flag? Ummmm... Yep I'm failing geography this year... And yeah he shot a marshmallow cannon made by some sixth grader. The sixth grader actually shot himself with the cannon before too lol XD Singapore also has loads of religions and stuff too even though we're so small cuz people keep immigrating here! =D and awwwwwwww he just said the L-word! Cute!))She blinked at his words, did he seriously say that? He did? "You seriously mean that?" her eyes searched his face for any clues he was makin it up.
((Singapore is so small it's not even allowed a dot on the world map. They label us as part of the ocean -.- we're just one country, I think around 287 square kilometers of land? Really small))"Well its not like there's much to like about me," she shrugged. "And you're the one who keeps treating me like a child."
"Yeah right, and I do not act like a child!" she shook her head at his contradicting sentences. "And what makes you think I would like you back in the first place," she crossed her arms defiantly((Democracy, lots of voting in Singapore~ think we're gonna be in trouble soon though. One of our water contracts with Malaysia is expiring soon and I think they don't want to sell to us anymore =O We've got like, a prime minister and stuff to lead the the country and all. It was really funny in the last general elections, all the guys running for whatever position it was all had the same last name, Tan. So whenever anyone asked me who I supported, I would just say, "Uhhh, that mr Tan guy." Hey have I told you about new latest prank on my friend?))
((lol I was doing some research for the drama performance next year, and my friend kept asking me why I had to do research since the show is supposed to be a secret. So I told her it was a study on the warilosin bird, the only purple bird in the world, and she BELIEVED IT. Then I toos her it was work from my tuition teacher who was a transsexual and that my 'tuition teachers' name was Jane but now I call her Jack. And she's really buying all this crap I'm telling her, she's so cute and gullible ^w^ She even believed me when I said there was a small space above the school hall that had a secret boarding school for these four girls who kept failing their exams XD ))"I don't, and I'm so not childish!" she scowled. "See? Now you're starting to become an asshat again."
"Like it was a compliment," she rolled her eyes. "Most people don't like to be called childish you know." ((Every word lmao. That's why she's my BFF in school, she's so easy to fool and wont even get angry as long as my pranks aren't insulting XD ))

She nodded and lapsed into a silence for a while. "So... Why me? Other than the blood thing, why would you like me?" she asked finally
