Jude scanned the shelves, but found nothing interesting. She turned her head to see someone watching her. A very attractive someone. "Ummm... what're you reading?" she asked shyly.
Ben put his book down."um....just this book.."he said shrugging.He already felt his palms getting sweaty. keep it together man.
Jude rocked on her heels, feeling awkward. She picked up the book and read the back for a distraction. "Any good?" she asked.
"um not really."Ben said coughing to fill the silence."I'm Ben."he said after awhile.
Jude set the book back down. "I'm Jude." she said and bit her lip. "Maybe I should go..."
"no, I'm sorry, I was just leaving."Ben said standing up, but his legs had fallen asleep so he ended up stumbling into her.
"Whoa there," Jude caught him before they both fell. "You alright?" she asked.
"yeah yeah!"Ben said he felt like dying right then and there."um are you sorry?"
"Uh, sorry for what?" Jude said, taking a step back. "And you dont have to leave, you were here first, anyways."

"No, its alright." Jude said and stared at him, then looked at her feet, blushing slightly.

"Uhhh, thank you?" Jude said meekly and took another step back, her leg touching the metal table leg. It made a sizzling noise and she pulled it away quickly, muttering a string of cus words as she rubbed the burn wound.

Jude stopped rubbing, although it still stung horribly. "Yeah, and a little bit of everything. A changeling mostly, though."

Jude sighed in relief as the pain faded. "Thank you. A changeling is... well, I replaced a human when I was a kid. My species doesnt really have a name..." she said, then looked at him. "What about you?"

"Ah, I see. No wonder..." Jude smiled and shook her head. "Well at least youre not one of those hot heads."
