Fallon glanced back at Aretha. She held her forefinger to tightly closed lips signaling for her to be extremely quiet. The patrol would be coming any minute now so she had to get the books she needed and get out.

Fallon nodded and passed the piece of parchment back. She scurried straight over to the creatures section. She skimmed her hands over the "D's" section until she found what she was looking for. "Dark Creatures of the Wizarding World." It read. She pulled it off the shelf and hid it in her robes. She pointed Aretha towards the creatures section so she could look for a book of her own.

Fallon was close behind her. She gasped in air as she got back in. At least they were safe now. She immediately sat down and started flipping through the pages looking for anything useful. What she read was horrendous. Tales of vicious creatures destroying entire tribes of people. Creatures so powerful and so dark that not even an entire army of wizards could stop them. Fallon was truly scared for what awaited Aretha and Kahlan.

Belial lay snoozing upon an open book, the locket from the tournament clenched loosely in his palm as his twisted mind dreamt pleasant dreams, face lax and peaceful, almost cute in its sleepless state.
