I haven't seen this before, and now I want one.

I'm not in favor of poaching endangered animals for rich white people to have as pets, I am only in favor of cuddles.

There's a website called Texts from Westeros, that combines Texts from Last Night with stills from the Game of Thrones show.

It's cool, a swing and a miss on my part.

ROTFLMAO!! But creepy at the same time.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) Nope. I just don't watch nor have read Game of Thrones. Totally on me.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) This kind of hurts my brain:

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments My wife was an artist and she watched Bob Ross all the time.... I think she'd have loved that.

I remember watching Bob Ross. He would start painting and taking and I would be sucked in. Watching and thinking I could do that, unfortunately that never happened.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 7282 comments I watched him, too. :-D One of my favorite shows as a kid. Everything looked so easy - which is the mark of true genius.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) I loved watching him as a kid. All the happy accidents turned into happy little trees. He was so awesome.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

I used to 'zone out' with a friend watching his show. It was the best.

"dude... Those clouds are awesome"
"the trees man, the trees"

Elaine (hottoddie) | 22 comments In the UK when I was a child we had an artist called Tony Heart who sounds similar . He did a kids programme called Take Heart which I loved. He made everything look so easy and made me believe I could produce beautiful works of art , which in reality I never did

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments Bob Ross was mentored by another artist who used the large brush and painted with the same wet on wet technique. He was William (or Bill) Alexander. My wife watched him first and then for a while I believe he and Ross had competing painting shows.

My wife watched these shows regularly. She loved to paint and so I guess loved all things "painting".

message 72: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Sorry, I don't remember that guy. I checked him out on YouTube and he had me "zoning out". I want to paint something now...see if it happens to you.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 7282 comments Ok, I can tell from the first few minutes that he and Bob Ross worked together. :-)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments Alexander was on TV years before Ross, he was Ross' mentor. I know this because of my wife. Like I said she was an artist and loved to watch art programs. Back when PBS ran several. I remember Alexander, Ross, Helen Van Wyk and several others....

I don't watch them now even if they're on.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) This is kind of awesome... and also a bit insane:

J.A. Beard (jabeard) You know if someone wrote an entire book like that (e.g., The Encyclopedia of Fictional Magic), I'd buy it.
