Thanks for your concern, J.A. It worries me, too. Should I put on something clean?
You will be fine, Phil!! I can't wait to be able to talk to you! It's going to be soooo awesome!!!! (have I EVER mentioned that I LOVE your book?? LOL)

Thanks, girls. Looking forward to it. I'll see the underwear has a special wash just for the occasion.
Angela, it really was the oddest thing EVER! I know we haven't been doing the show that long, but all of the ones we have done thus far have been "flawless" I use that word loosely, or at least we didn't have any technical difficulties! LOL
JG made sure we had quite an exciting show! :)

sounds fun, can we suggest authirs to interview? lol
im a little biased cuz I know him, but David A. Santos he's a funny guy Im sure he'll be a good guest

I am an official fan of JerbilJabber ;p
Two cups and a string is my favorite way to do it, or you can hold a lighting rod with a few bunny ears taped to your head! :)
Actually, the only thing needed to be on the show is a telephone. We make it very easy at JournalJabber! You should listen in on the show and see if it is something you are interested in applying to be on!
If you listen and decide it could be the show for you (or you have an author you would love to hear on our show), send me an e-mail at amy@journalstone.com and I can provide you or your favorite author with the steps that would need to be followed to be considered for the show! :)
Angela - I hope to see you there tonight (for you - this afternoon! LOL) We are soooo happy to have you as a fan!!

Don't worry David. You obviously have access to the internet, so just get a Skype account. Who needs a phone?
We just did a wonderful interview with Phil over Skype! Thank you by the way, Phil, for being on the show, we loved having you!!

Thanks for having me, Amy (in a metaphorical sense, of course). It was a great pleasure.
BTW one of the listeners asked about our huntsman spiders. If he/she is worried about arachnids, this is one they needn't be concerned with. They're ugly, but totally non-venomous to humans. Unlike funnel web spiders, and red-backs.
Cambria might like to know that a few years ago there was a song in this country about someone who was bitten by a red-back while on the toilet.

Thanks for having me, Amy (in a metaphorical sense, o..."
Oh my!!
We loved having you Phil!

One of the first things I wanted to see when I got here was a redback, and they are gorgeous! Like regular black widows with racing stripes. I was there for the interview, but never did get the sound working. Next week I will... for now I will go listen to the archives ;p

Thanks for having me, Amy (in a metapho..."
Actually, Angela, red-backs are supposed to be related to black widows. Legend has it that a few of the latter made it to Oz in supplies brought for the war effort (WWII that is) and mated with red-backs, producing a new breed called white-tailed spiders. They are particularly aggressive, and have a very poisonous bite.

Thanks for having me, Amy..."
I love spiders, and I know it seems dangerous (I have no children around) but the widow spiders make great pets. Interestingly enough, the redback and the black widow are on the same egg laying cycle (spring for here and fall for the states) I've enjoyed all the spiders here, but I wasn't crazy about finding a huntsman on the wall as big as my hand before I'd had my coffee!

Redbacks have traveled to Japan in wood shipments I was reading... and it's causing confusion because Japan had no venomous spiders up to this point, and the japanese name for redback is the same as another native spider there that is safe. They are so interesting...

Thanks for ..."
They can give you a shock if you're not expecting them. When I was in Darwin our house was occupied by a big huntsman with only five legs -- 2 on one side, 3 on the other. Because the kids complained of being frightened, I caught it one night and carried it outside. I freed it in a tree about 30 feet from the house. It didn't like that idea -- it beat me back inside and disappeared before anyone could catch it again.
We used to see it after that from time to time, but it stayed well away from us.

Phil, my wife wants a highlight tape of just your accent. I'm keeping my eye one you! lol

Splitter, remember, she can always go back and listen to the podcast over and over and over and over...or make you do it until you can perfect the accent.
Remember everyone, if you are going to enter the ghost story contest for the show, get it in to me before the 9th! That is when submissions will be closed and I will have 2 impartial judges pick our winner!!

A HA!! I knew it!!! LOOK BEFORE YOU SIT EVERYONE!!!! Why couldn't you have shared this on the interview Phil? LOL

A disabled spider?? Oh my. what a tale, and it was still fast. Imagine what it could have done with ALL of its legs. EWWWWWW.
Angela- spiders? Really? can't you like bunnies or something. EW. LOL. we have black widows here and I don't play around. if i see one I kill it on sight. Sorry. But i have kids and dogs.
