Sharon Michael | 572 comments Recliner mostly and in KY summers, in the recliner with the A/C running!

When I lived in MT I kept an electric blanket draped over the recliner so I could come in from outdoor chores in the winter, get a cup of chocolate, wrap up in the pre-heated electric blanket and pick up the current book and listen to the wind.

I miss that, actually, as it doesn't ever really get cold enough in KY to warrant wrapping up in an electric blanket.

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments I have two spots. One is my bed. I just love reading before falling asleep. It's the perfect way to wind down and get sleepy.

The second spot is my easy chair. Yes, I'm one of those guys who had a chair that's all his own. I love it, and reading in it is comfortable.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) Listening to an Audio-book on a long drive in my car (1), Audio-book while walking my dog (2), curlled up in my recliner with my kindle (3)

It's a close top three places so I put all of them. 3 would move up if I could garuntee a quiet stress free atmophere. I have kids, stress free-often, quiet...never.

Laurel Jason, I have a personal reading recliner, too! The pups and I are the only ones who are allowed near it :)

Madalyn (madalynreads) I like to sit on my back porch with a cup of tea and read. In the winter I curl up on the couch and watch it snow while I read, its very relaxing. When I actually have time to do that I usually end up falling asleep.

Mach | 572 comments I usually go to bed an hour or two early before sleep just to read.

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments I'm still envious of your reading room, Laurel! LOL

And Hugh, you reminded me of my third favorite place to read. Audio books while I'm working. I have a mindless, blue collar job and am able to listen to books while working. It's great!

Machavelli, I go to bed an hour or two early so I can read, too!

Laurel Thanks, Jason! I still want to pinch myself from time to time when I'm sitting in it :)

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) Jason, my third place to read often has my dog wanting to get in my lap. That would be fine except he's a Smooth Coat Collie, 3 years old. Still, it never fails, when I sit down he climbs into my lap. "umph!" I wonder if he wants me to read to him?

whimsicalmeerkat | 0 comments I hope to someday have a nerd room. I already have an Alan Moore print and have picked a frame from Watchmen that I would love to get re-printed for it. I plan on it having a good space for my computer, bookshelves, and a good reading chair. It'll be a long time, but I think it's achievable.

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments I have a boxer that often wants to jump up in my lap. I never let him, he weighs 90 lbs, LOL, but he can be pretty demanding. LOL

Love it! I've got all sort of collectables from pewter Tolkien figures to starship models to mineral specimens and glass lab equipment, I want on display in my reading room. A favorite is a photo of all 5 Star Trek captains with their autographs and a big Apollo 11 photo.

I had a peaceful MinPin as a reading lap-lover, but found a stray kitten and now have car and dog arguments on my lap while trying to read...

That is food for thought ;-)
