Cannot masuk lah. The man very the longwinded one, goes on and on and on and on waxing lyrical in descriptive prose. Isy. Just cannot take it in lah.

Yes, King has a problem with winding up his stories. He once admitted that he doesn't know how to end his stories(!) He claims the fun is in the journey, not the destination.

Plus, I think his editor is a coward. An editor's job is to rein in the author when s/he goes on and on and on without a point. But since King is a superstar author maybe he ignores his editor or the editor doesn't bother to edit.

Try King's (thinner) earlier works: Carrie, Pet Sematary, Christine. Misery is nice too (obsessed fan kidnaps author). Or try his short story collection.

But don't bother reading Tommyknockers. Millions of trees were sacrificed to print that pile of dog poo.

Hahaha!

Saya tidak pernah membaca Stephen King, dan tidak pernah berniat untuk mencuba. Mungkin bila habis semua buku di dunia saya baca, atau ada orang hadiahkan buku itu kepada saya, saya bacalah!

:)

I had a friend who was like, head over heels for Stephen King but when I tried to read one of his, I found myself stuck at the first page. Static. Oh well. Perhaps I didnt push myself hard enough but heck, I tried.

I love the movie adaptations though. IT tuh tengok waktu kecik2 dulu dekat tayangan gambar Dunhill Double. I thought it was genius. Creepy but genius. And then bila IT 2 dah macam poyo sikit, sebab ada raksasa.. hahaha.. bodoh betui...

Oh ada satu cerita dia yang pasal haunted mansion. mende ntah namanya yang main-main teka perkataan tu. REDRUM REDRUM.. tiba2 terbalik jadi murder. Cerita tu quite suspenseful jugak tapi bila tiba bab perkataan terbalik tu I jadi ketawa terbahak2. Hantu ni terror siut main2 perkataan.. hahaha

Everyone raved about it, but I just feel it's not too my liking :((

Mula-mula baca novel pertama, dah rasa kurang menyengat. Kedua, hanya separuh pembacaannya.

Bella is so lovey-dovey, euwww

Mujur baca e-book, so i can dump it anytime

Laili (stnrll) | 132 comments saya dumped twilight lepas baca beberapa chapters. tak nak sambung baca, jangankan beli siri seterusnya.

tak minat nak tahu pasal remaja yang tak fikir masa depan macam bella dan uncle edward yang tak mampu untuk, well...mati, dan seekor werewolf yang bertepuk sebelah tangan. baik saya baca doraemon instead.

no regrets. :D

Nurul (nurulhidayahyahya) | 242 comments Haha, I have try to read Twilight just recently, for fun. Dumped it but thanks to it now I know the very reason why I love to follow certain series of books/ TV series: Its all about passion in the main character career/purpose of life. Eg. :

Harry Potter was passionate about killing Voldemort.
Frodo was passionate about destroying the ring.
Fox Mulder was passionate about extraterrestrial life.
