I loved the characters who played Percy and Grover, but Annabeth was wayyyyy off!!!!

the director??? idk anyway it was wierd but not as wierd as firing megan fox in transformers then hiring a british person who hardly acts in the movie (i saw the movie it was good besides the britsh girlfrend)

I really don't see the problem here. Just because they are younger in the book doesn't mean they can find an exact role in that age group to fit that person. That is why most actors and actresses are older than their actually role character. So there is no problem with this at all.

Yeah, they should've said he was like twelve. Because most actors act a younger or older age.
i wouldnt have minded if he was like at least pretending to be 14 but the were way off on this

Well, I went online to see what the ages of the actual actors were and guess what? The age diffrence between the actors that play Percy and Annabeth are five years! I was like "What the heck!" Who agrees?

the age of the acter are the age most demigod never survive to i agree.

Now that I've thought about it a bit maybe the directers thought the movie would appeal to more people if the actors were teens not 12. Idk but it would make sense, the directors have to come up with a way to sell the movie and get people to come spend their money on the movie. Sadly they must think that if the main character is 12 no one would want to watch it (excepting Percy Jackson book fans). Me thinks the only reason the movie did well is because there are so many dedicated PJ fans that came on opening night (me) and days afterward to see their fav book on the big screen. Weren't we disappointed.
