Wonderful book for girls. The protagonist has to spend the summer at a remote artist camp where her mother has taken a job as the cook. She does not want to got, but once she gets there, things turn quite interesting. She meets a handful of quirky characters to come to life through the authors great descriptions. She will also meet a stranger who will change her life. Great scenery descriptions and great characters.
