I've finished book 2, A Clash of Kings. My favourite characters remain the same - Arya, Dany and Tyrion. The person I dislike the most changed from Sansa to (view spoiler) who not only proves to be a complete bastard, but like Sansa, can also be very stupid at times, although not quite as retarded as the little princess, who is still hoping to be rescued by a brave knight. Sigh...I would have started on A Storm of Swords already, but I'm trying to finish Patchwork first.

Me too! Although she's slightly less interesting in book 2, but I think that's because the first big leap for her character is over now and she has to get down to the business of building an army.Arya was my favourite by the end of book 2.

To be honest I don't know - if you don't already like her I don't know what would change your opinion. At least there aren't anymore incidents like the one with Joffrey, but there is something sort of like the time where Arya isn't clear enough about the info she has for Ned.
Yeah. It's a completely different situation, but with that same sort of "but why the hell didn't you...?!" feeling, if that makes sense.
I've started the second book... love Tyrion's wit!
My favorite characters so far are Arya, Jon Snow, Tyrion. I do like Dany a bit more than what I did in the beginning. Havent read a part from her in the second book yet.
I'm also fond of The Old Bear, he seems like an interesting character.
Joffrey, Queen Cersei, Jaime and that kid Robert irritates me... can't wait to get deeper into this book
