YAY!
YOU SHOD READ THEM. THEY ARE AWESOME!
YAAAAAAAYYYYYYThey are seriously the best books ever. I am re-reading them and (since I read them over a year ago) I forgot how obsessive I get with them and it's all I can think and talk about. Definitely obsessed and they are just phenomenal!

lol!
What number are we on? lolI think the Hunger Games are certainly more original than the Twilight series.
I have no idea Karina lolI agree, they are very original. Hunger Games is the most original book I've ever read
I am officially about to be disowned lol, but I didn't really like the series that much. Maybe if I read it later without so much hype and I refuse to watch the movies to distort the image in my head it will get better. Everyone around me made it sound so amazing that when I read it, it fell a little flat and the concepts I saw seemed like they were pulled from tons of different things I had seen/watched/read before so it didn't have an impact and the tone was really scattered to me. BUT I will say that it was better than twilight becausewhichever # that we're on: I actually read the last book of HG and I was so disinterested in the last Twi book that I put it down smack in the middle a couple of years ago and never had a single desire to pick it back up again.
To me it seemed like twilight tried too hard to wrap up all the loose ends so it felt like I was being pelted with twists and turns and things that were supposed to be shocking. It ended up a dramatic mess. That's just my humble opinion of course.

Why?
I don't know I really liked the HG series:)
And I hated the twilight movies:S
I didn't read the twilight books though so I can't judge!
Bryer you are disowned!lol I'm only jk
I absolutely adore the hunger games it's my favourite series ever and omg the movie was just epic. Best book-to-movie adaptation I've ever seen. It was perfect
I went to see The Hunger Games last night, and trust me people...The Hunger Games is WAY better than Twilight! <3
Well I was talking to Ethan and he was telling me about
and it sounded soooo much like HG with so many common details I couldn't really get into it. Also there were things in it from different movies I'd seen or books I had read that did that particular part more justice than HG did. Also I was NOT thrilled with Katniss' character at all. I kind of wanted Peeta to just take her out and be done with it. Plus it followed the Twilight love triangle far too much for my comfort. Best friend who's always been there for you and has quietly admired hoping he'll get his chance and then new mysterious guy enters the picture attempting to teach her/save her from herself. And then she picks that guy! I understand that he really liked her but so did Gale and had far more proven his stability, strength and respect. (I married my best friend so maybe I am a little biased, but Ethan also agreed that it sounded like it was written by a woman for women because the male authors he's read that wrote love stories always have the female lead go to the best friend.) Plus every single time she was supposed to do something and really come out as the "Mockingjay" she passed out from pain or wasn't allowed to go or what have you so the next chapter someone else had miraculously done it for her, sparing her from really maturing as a character and having no choice but to make the decision herself. She was saved too many times that it really lost me. I thought it was written well and was a good bit of entertainment, but I prefer the other books that it sounds like the author took their inspiration from. That is totally my opinion. I don't dislike anyone who liked the book or the movie. But I have definitely read better, more unique books with very similar plot lines and better characters. Personally, my favorite of the "new" YA books is probably a tie between the Gone series and Cassandra Clare's books.
Do Not agree whatsoever. Hunger Games is nothing like Twilight in anyway and I hate when people compare them and say they are alike. In my opinion Hunger Games is the best series ever and a million times better
Twilight is about vampires, Hunger Games is about surviving human cruelty, they are two different things :)
I don't think they are one and the same. Not by any means! You mistook what I said. I found ONE common component. That's all. Best books about human cruelty: Night, The Book Thief, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (I think all who read this can agree.... Great God damn the author had some issues), Lord of the Flies,, A Child Called "It" (the single most horrific case of child abuse on record.
I personally never read any books about child abuse. But the books you mentioned piqued my interest.
When was it released again?
LOL...Have you heard of Dream House? Daniel Craig and Rachel Wiesz acted in it.

the book was released 2005the movie has two versions: the american version was released last year.. idk the swedish one..
I've heard of it but haven't watch it. is it good?
I actually slept through it :P But I caught the ending, I hope they found Michael. I just can't stand how fake the effect is compared to Underworld 1, 2 and 3. It looked like a cheap remake, not to be harsh.
NOOO! I AM DYING TO!
NOOO! I AM DYING TO!
Yes, I hope they find him. the kid sure scary looking..how about resident evil?
Oh my! A Must watch! though I haven't read it yet, I was impressed with the movie. great effects.:D
Yeah....still the first adaptation is always the best.
a book is not enough XD
I really loved the first two, but I haven't read Mockingjay so I can't be the judge of that.

The third was cool too:)
haha! I heard it sucked though and makes me really hesistant to read it because I don't want to ruin my HG mood.
