Be sure to read the synopses of the first two books. It also includes a bit about the three years between the end of The Grass Crown (Masters of Rome, #2) by Colleen McCullough and the beginning of Fortune's Favorites (Masters of Rome, #3) by Colleen McCullough .

Cheryl (cheryl319) | 372 comments I know the books are long enough as it is, but I'm sorry these three years are omitted. I would have loved to have read about Sulla's negotiations with Mithridates. I'm also sorry it doesn't include an account of Cinna's visit with Pompey-now-Magnus, and his death soon after. I read online that Cinna was killed by an uprising of his soldiers, and that possibly Pompey had a hand in inciting them. Does anyone have any more substantial facts about what happened to Cinna?
