Cassie looked at West. "Hey you ok? That lightning didn't hit you did it?"

Cassie's phone started to vibrate. A wave of annoyance coursed through her. She was supposed to be done with this. She looked at West again. "I'm so sorry! I'll be right back I just have to take this." She picked up the phone and left the room for privacy, going into the woods again. She didn't notice how far she'd walked until she saw the ramshackle cabin.
Cassie returned to her dorm, spattered in blood and with her red stained sweatshirt under her arms. She passed jet in the hall.
Jet stopped dead, seeing the blood-stained sweatshirt. She looked like she just came back from the butchers…or a murder. "Uh…"
Cassie could only imagine what she looked like. "Oh. I'm fine. It's not mine. Some girl, Lacey I think, got stabbed by her boyfriend. I was just nearby." She self-consciously rubbed her neck, trying to hide the bruises from Ricky.
(lol, poor lacey xD all she wants is to be rickys girlfriend and she gets stabbed, and shot twice, and thretened by police all in one day! lmao))

"Yeah you're telling me. I came here to get away from all this stuff," Cassie grimaced. Only a little while since she got here, and already she ran across someone who was close to death and almost murdered.
"Just worried about the girl. She didn't look so good when the ambulance came," Cassie replied, looking down at her red stained clothes. She felt like she had been bathing in blood there was so much of it. "Man, you lose a towel to stains and I lose some clothes. Theres just no escaping it here!"
"…And that's probably not a good thing. I'd prefer to keep the remainder of my closet. It's bad enough that my sister took about half of it," Cassie said.
"....I'm sorry that I cannot share your pain," jet smirked, walking to his dorm. He had his hands in his pockets.
Cassie fell into step with him, since their dorms were only separated by 2 rooms. "Do you have any siblings?" she inquired.
"Used to. My younger twin. But I don't really know where she is right now. Her name was Sybil," Cassie said, not really sad, just thoughtful.
"Ah. She must have meant a lot to you for you to make such an expression," Jet smiled to himself, remembering his little Alison.
"Yea she did…," Cassie laughed darkly. "I may not exactly like her, but I have to love her, she's my sister. And I'd know if anything bad happened to her…I'd feel it," she said with more conviction. "Do you know what I mean?" she asked, hoping he sort of understood.
Cassandra felt a change in Jet's demeanor. She looked downward and said, "Sorry. I really shouldn't be so prying. It's your business."
Jet was quiet for awhile, pausing to stare at his door before he murmured, "...Alison. ...Her name is Alison..."
Cassie bit back a smile. There was something about this boy. He was opening up for her. "I guess I'll see you later…" she trailed off, continuing to walk slowly down the hall to her room.
"....Yeah..." Jet smiled to himself, then plopped onto his bed for some well-deserved rest. He hasn't had much rest since he and Alison left the house...
She walked into her dorm room, leaning against a wall then sliding down it into a sitting position, just thinking. Thinking about home, what she was being paid to do, and…about her missing roommate. She hadn't seen her in a while.
Cassie decided to take a nap, but her sleep was plagued by nightmares. She didn't even know she was screaming in her sleep.
Jet hears the scream and bolted up. Now more awake, Jet swore, getting up in his white tank and blue boxers, towards the screaming. When he realized the door belonged to Cassie's room, he opened it in a haste. "Cassie, what's wrong?!"She was on her bed, sweating and shaking violently. Frustrated a bit, he remembered how Alison used to do the same thing when she was little, and had nightmares.
Jet's expression softened.
Sighing, he went over to her bed, picked her up into his arms, and sat on her bed, holding her close against him. He shushed her softly telling her that everything was alright. He kissed her hair, like he used to do for his little sister. He imagined the trembling little Alison in his arms....yet this woman stirred feelings in him so unlike his sister...
She was awake but still having the vision, still in the nightmare. She dimly felt the tears on her face and the person holding her tight to their body, murmuring to her and kissing her hair. It helped her relax, slowly pulling out of the vision. She saw it was Jet and a flush crept up her cheeks. She was embarrassed and started to withdraw, but she was so exhausted she fell back against him. "Thank you," she muttered. She finally moved away and looked up at him. "Thank you," she repeated, quietly.
"No problem," he whispered, pulling her closer. "Sleep. I'll protect you...." In fact, Jet was dozing off a bit himself, not loosening his grip, his head nodded off.
She wanted to tell him that not even him protecting her could prevent the visions, but it was such a nice gesture, and she really was bone tired. She watched him close his eyes and followed suit, descending into the dream world. Surprisingly, no more visions came. There was no gunfire, no death, just blessed darkness.
2 hours later, Cassie woke up from her nap. Blinking, she realized there was someone else in her bed. Then she remembered Jet comforting her. His arm was around her, keeping her safe. It was so easy just to lay there, not thinking about anything, just sitting within the enclosure of his embrace.
Cassie bit back the urge to laugh. He was half asleep, yet he was still watching out for her. Jet was…different. A good different. That, along the steady rise and fall of his chest, lulled her back to sleep.
Jet awoke a few hours later, feeling heavier than usual. Glancing down, he saw Cassandra curled up in his arms. For a moment, he was lost in how small and weak she looked in his strong arms....so cute...
Cassie felt Jet moving and blearily opened her eyes. "Oh hey," she mumbled, partly awake. "Was I really screaming that loud?"
Well that's just great, she thought. Now he probably thought I'm crazy or that I have PTSD or something. Cassie felt the unwelcome blush spread across her cheekbones. "Sorry about waking you up earlier. It's never usually that bad," she lied. It was always that bad.
"Yeah…let's just say I'm a bit of an insomniac. I hate going to sleep, for obvious reasons," she said, nervously tucking a piece of red hair behind her ear. "This is the most I've slept in weeks."
Cassie gave a small laugh, instantly feeling less nervous. "Maybe you should…just don't be surprised if you get a rude awakening!" This one time had to be a fluke. The next time she slept it would start all over again. The piece of hair behind her ear fell back into her face as she smiled up at him.
