Four or Tobias? What name suited him better?

It really bothered me 3/4's into the book when they started calling Four Tobias and I started to wonder if I was the only one who felt like this. There's a process in my mind when I read that goes like this: 1.Meet character. 2.Get to know their personality. 3. Get used to them and their personality. And when the name changes, all of the original traits are gone because the brain isn't registering the same name as before. And the authors don't usually add in their traits again.
Don't get me wrong, I mean, I love the book, but this part was just completely illogical.
So... Four all the way for me!

i like the name four, dont get me wrong tobias is an awesome and unique name but i get attached to the name four and when they started using tobias as his name, i wished it would go back to four :(
I like the name Four better. And I like Tobias (not so much the name, but the person.)
I think Four is who he "has" to be, and Tobias is who he "wants" to be (around Tris.)

At first I kept getting confused every time she said tobias I was like "who's tobias" haha but still I agree with what you said. Whenever my friends and I talk about the book I still refer to him as four so
I love four, not big on the name Tobias... makes him seem a bit more tame. Not sure if tame is the right word.

Yes, totally! I want him to be Four again! No matter how many times I say Tobias, no matter how hard I try to make myself get used to it, it just feels wrong and weird. FOUR sounds fearless, cool, and charismatic.

Yeah, I agree with Michelle, it didnt bother me. Four was the hard, cold exterior, Tobias was the warm, sweet secret inside.

I don't know because at the beginning, I got it in my head that Four/Tobias is a really "old" dude so when the romance between Tris and him came up, it kind of ruined it for me. I like Four better
Four. I was just used to hearing them call him Four and I don't really like the name Tobias. I don't think it suits him either:(
He should stick to the name Four, it fit him better than Tobias.
I didnt mind it at all. I also did have a hunch he was Tobias about half way through the book. So maybe that helped.

Yes, I had a hunch too, mainly becase why would they bring it up if it wasn't going to be involved in the story and because I just... knew.. lol
