Does he have good traits ... or bad?

Sometimes he's short tempered because you know only the whole world is depending on him for survival and he's under a lot of pressure and sometimes he's happy because he finds out he has a murderous stepfather ...

What do you think? What are his good traits that get him by bad times? What are the bad ones that pop up every so often?

good one. How do you guys think he gets the ability to love? I mean his loved ones died the day he was born and he grew up in a household full of nasty people.

Partly, I think - more from the Weasleys as a whole. They're such a wonderful influence on his life. The Burrow is a place where he feels safe and cared for. Harry gets to see a large, loving, close-knit family and can learn from them and his friends.

both. hes really brave and couragus but thinks he can achieve more than he really can and has a short temper

He loved ron and hermione,, well as friends, and he loved sirius, and the weasleys before that ...

I think his traits are mixed. But who here votes that he has rushed thinking when under pressure.

I mean for example in the 5th book. He was like the reason sirius died. Would bellarix had killed off sirius black anyway?

If you have to blame someone, I would blame Harry for why Sirius died. If he had gone to Snape a lot more thing would have been different

Snape's lessons don't help in the slightest because neither Harry nor Snape try to make it work. But Harry doesn't have a natural aptitude for Occlumency anyway, so maybe it wouldn't even have made much of a difference if Dumbledore had taught him.

I don't think going back to Snape would have accomplished anything. If Dumbledore had been more open with Harry, then things may have turned out differently. Harry obviously acts rashly in rushing off to the Ministry, but I don’t think he’s more blameworthy than Dumbledore. No one tells him that Voldemort might try to lure him into a trap and considering Mr. Weasley’s attack, he has good reason to believe what he has seen is true.
