Jackie (thenightowl) I just got Dracula for the library so I'm excited to join in.

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Heheh, I've decided to join in! But later this month. I'll be reading:

Interview with a Vampire (Yes, I haven't read any Anne Rice, shame on me!)

Frankenstein (The author's story seems really interesting to me)

Dracula

I just have this VERY appealing image of myself eating mar bars and twixes with those books in my hands. Hehehe. I think that's my plan for Halloween night!

Emma I'm with you I bought Interview with a Vampire and I am going to read it. I've seen the move about 3x it's about time I read it.

message 54: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Oh awesome! We can read it together!

Thats funny, so no matter what happens, we are all already excited about books we predetermined.... We are book nuts!!!

message 56: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha! Thank god!!!

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh yes we are book nuts.

I would actually like to read all the suggested books but I don't think it will happen next month. I will however complete that task!

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

Emilee, if only we had all the time to read all of these books!!

message 59: by Marsha (new)

Marsha Be prepared to go get the rest of Rice's vampire stories when you finish IWTV...

I did that years ago, then moved on to her Mayfair Witches trilogy which was very good too.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

I am afraid I will get addicted! I am really not afraid, I just know I will.

Jasmine, hi and welcome. Voting ends tomorrow nite, then I announce the winners.

I open the discussion threads on Oct 1st, and we have all month to read. You can chose to read one, or both.... its up to you!

message 63: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hey Lori,

I was meaning to ask you this, but are we allowed to switch our vote?

message 64: by Lori, Super Mod (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 10620 comments Mod
I think you can switch it.
It should be down below the actual tally.

message 65: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Alright, I might want to switch to Dracula...

message 66: by Krista (new)

Krista (findyourshimmy) | 382 comments Oooh, I'd totally jump in on a Frankenstein read as well. I have the book, only got about 20 pages in and threw it to the side in frustration. I need some assistance with the "old" language.
_______________

I also picked up The Heart Shaped Box. Looks like October will be a busy read for me:

- House of Leaves (this book looks a bit monsterous and overwhelming - definitely a group read)
- The Heart Shaped Box
- Dracula (possible re-read)
- Frankenstein (if others read as well)

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Iki, Heart-Shaped Box is very good. And, like you said, I've heard that House of Leaves is good, but a bit daunting. Should be interesting.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 1736 comments Cool, Lori - I was curious which book he meant.
