Welcome, Amanda! Most musicians I know have other jobs! And even most of the ones who are able to do a lot of music gigs teach. What do you play? And read? I baked our family's bread for over 10 years until they all rebelled and wanted store bought already sliced bread (teens!)

I LOVE sourdough bread! In fact, I am eating it right now. (My sister-in-law brought some down when she came.)

Mmm sounds good! You should try to bake it yourself. There are plenty of recipes online if you are interested.I baked sourdough bread on Saturday and put it in the freezer. This way I'll be able to enjoy it for a while.
Hello,I'm Jayme, I just joined this group. I have been on Goodreads for awhile since Fall 2009. I am in the SRC challenge and the Reading With Style challenge. I am also a part of the Historical Fictionistas group. I love to read. My mom told me I had more books than Kirk Cobain had drugs. I was looking for another group and Karin from Reading With Style told me about this group. I have looked at your homepage and your challenges. I will be participating in the Moving Mountains challenge and the August pick a shelf challenge.
Welcome, Jayme. Nice to see you here, too. Let us know if you have any questions. This is a very friendly group.
Hello all!I'm Audrey. I like to call myself an avid reader, but I've been lagging behind lately and want to change that. Typically I read historical fiction and biographies with some mysteries, fantasy, and lately YA.
I thought that I was good with my choices, and then I stumbled on a rec for The Hidden Life of Trees, and have been reading it and loving it. This has made me want to explore more genres and books that I've apparently been missing. When I saw this group, I thought this might be the perfect fit for me.
Looking forward to expanding my reading horizons!

Hi Audrey. Welcome to the group! If you want to explore new genres, than you have come to the right place.
Hi All! My name is Anna and I love to read but I have been really slumpy this year and I am trying really hard to pull myself out. This group was suggested by Lusie (thanks Lusie!!), so here I am.
Off to check out all the threads etc. and looking forward to getting to know you all and, fingers crossed, find my long lost reading bug!

Hi Anna! *waves hi* Great to see you decided to join us! Welcome to the group! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
Hi Anna, welcome! I think this is a great group and it will help you get back into reading - there are so many fun challenges, monthly shelf, etc. :)
Thanks Jayme, Lusie and Marina!
Welcome, Anna. We have a variety of challenges going from year long ones to time-limited ones. Please look around and jump in wherever your heart leads you. If you have questions, feel free to ask. This is an active group who look after each other.
Welcome aboard, Kate. This is a friendly group, so just ask questions as you look around. Some of our challenges run all year. Some are time-limited. Feel free to jump right in when you find a challenge you like.
Hello!I'm Elena from Italy and i joined this group thanks to Marina and her updates! (Thanks Marina!)
I love to read and my readings increased since january when I started to use Goodreads (and its various challenges) more frequently.
I love your monthly "Pick a shelf" challenge and I definetely do that...now I'll study all the other games you offer!
Hey Klela, nice to see you here! I'm glad to know I helped you in your decision to join :)This is a very fun group and I've loved it since the first moment I joined, so I hope you'll like it too. We have many fun challenges apart from the monthly shelf, and the best thing is, there is no pressure in any of them. Everybody is very relaxed here, and you will always find someone who is ready to help.
Enjoy!
Hi Elena. Welcome! This is a very friendly group, so ask questions when you need to and join right in.
Hello all! My name is Nicole & I'm from Australia.
This group looks like fun - I haven't checked out any games or challenges yet, but the Pick-a-Shelf is a great idea.
Can't wait to get stuck in!
Hi, Nicole! Welcome to the group. Tien, our faithful leader, is also from Australia. Look around and jump right in when you see a game you like. Most will run until the end of the year.
Thanks Bea! I will get more involved next year as I'm still working through challenges for 2017, and I'm also doing a buddy read of The Dark Tower series which is 7 books I think!
Hi Nicole, welcome! We can't wait to have you join us next year (or sooner, should you change your mind). You'll see this is a fun and cosy group, and I hope you'll love it here :)
Hi Everyone!I'm Sarah, 31 from Melbourne, Australia.
I read everyday on the train, before bed, at the park, at the beach, at the footy (when I'm not playing)
Few tidbits about me;
Favourite genre - Crime/Thillers
Favourite Authors - James Rollins/Karin Slaughter
I have a Golden Retriever named Castiel so love any books that have doggos in them.
I play AFL footy, I'm an avid surfer, traveller, yogi, any type of adventure sport I'm down for and my perfect day would be sitting with a bottle of wine, on a sunny beach and reading a good book from cover to cover.
Nice to meet you all
:)
heya, Sarah! Welcome!!! I'm from Sydney :)
Do you catch the train everyday? Have you come across any of Booksontherail's books?
& seeing that your fave genre is crime/thriller, are you a fan of Candice Fox? (bewarned that the answer must be yes or you'd make me cry ;p)

Hey Tien,
Yep catch the train everyday but haven't come across any booksontherail as yet. I did leave a book at the station for someone to discover. Hoping they enjoyed the read.
I've read the collabs she's done with James Patterson - Never Never & Fifty Fifty and really enjoyed them. I'll need to add to my to read list her Frank Bennett series.
Welcome, Sarah! I used to take the train every day, but it was in the eastern US. Someday I hope to get to Australia.
I'm new! I like employing somewhat random ways of tackling Mount TBR and I like exploring other people's shelves, which don't seem to get a lot of play in other groups I'm in, so this group seems like a good fit for me. I also like the various games and challenges available here—while it may take me a while to work myself up to something like Scattershelves, the monthly shelf is an easy way to mix things up without wearing myself out.
Welcome CluckingBell! I hope you'll like it here. This group has many challenges so you will undoubtedly find one that suits you. And I love the monthly shelf's idea! This is what brought me here originally :)
Welcome to the group, CluckingBell. This is a friendly group, so just ask questions if you can't figure something out. We have lots of challenges going - some are short, some are involved, some are annual and last all year, others are shorter in duration. Jump right in on any challenge that interests you.
