We have 2 group reads per month. These group reads will be determined by a nomination process followed by voting via polls.
Nominations will be conducted as follows:
There will be two categories to determine the group reads so that we have a variety. Category 1 will ALWAYS be the place to nominate any fiction/non-fiction book you'd like. There are no limitations--any genre, any author, any time period, etc. 12 nominations will be allowed in this category.
Category 2 will be a predetermined category and will change each month. It will be our "themed" read. For example it could be a classic, fantasy, or a holiday book. 12 nominations will be taken for this category as well.
When it is time to nominate( at the first of each month), you will only be able to nominate ONE book. This means you will have to choose between the two categories. This is so that different people will get a chance to nominate books. We will allow a week for the nomination period or until all 24 nominations are in.
We will then have 2 separate polls set up for each category so you can vote for both. You can change your vote at any time before the poll closes.
If the book you nominated won, you have the option of leading the discussion or a volunteer/moderator will do it.
