After about 1 1/2 years of work with a literary agent, I have just been made an offer for a book, a work of non-fiction (history), from a big press. I will find out tomorrow if another big press is going to make an offer as well! Details will follow.

What an exciting time for you, Theresa!! Fingers are crossed for this to end up EXACTLY the way you want it to! (This proves that hard work and perseverance usually do pay off!)

I decided to go with the first big press and am still waiting for the actual contract. It goes through my agent first, who makes sure that everything looks great. Once the contract is signed I will feel like this is all real, so will reveal what the book is about.
