eReader Nook v Kindle?

Thanks for your thoughts. I just bought a Kobo Touch too and I'm enjoying it a lot. Your comments about the delays in response are right, but other ereaders are substantially slower than this one. Page-turning is very good and panning around a PDF is faster than most as well. It's no tablet, like you said, but the PDF-viewing is on-par or better than Sony, and leagues better than the original Nook or Kindle 3.

The web browser is surprisingly competent and works well with the touch screen. I use it to check my gmail or news on occasion and I haven't had any issues. I haven't tried using it on any flash or animated websites.

The only real issue I have is with ePubs that you get elsewhere. The device will not currently let you highlight or use the dictionary on those books. I think they are currently working on this issue, but right now it's kind of a bummer since I use this to read library books as well as books I own.

Despite that issue, it's comfortable to hold and easy to use and my favorite ereader so far.
