Thanks for starting this thread Knowledge, I'm going to put my review here!
Wow! What an amazing debut novel! I could not put this book down, it completely captivated me, I was wanting to know what would happen next, I was afraid with her, for what would happen next.....
Christine Lucas (Chrissy) goes to sleep each night, and wakes up in bed with someone she doesn't recognise, the house is unfamiliar, the clothing is not hers! The man she wakes up next to tells her he is her husband, Ben, they have been married for 22 years, they are very happy, and very in love. She had a car accident, with severe head trauma, so her memories are erased when she goes into a deep sleep. She wakes thinking she is young, gets a terrible shock when she looks in the mirror, and sees her aged face, the wrinkles...
This thriller, with it's suspense, twists and turns, as it moves towards the finish, is brilliant, and will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page...
I can't say anymore, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but oh boy!!!! :D

My apologies. I just have to say this because each time I read this thread it makes me want to respond...
Before I go to sleep...I like to curl up with a good book... Maybe one day I'll curl up with this book.

Don't make plans to sleep that night ;)
Mysteries aren't usually my thing. I would need some pretty convincing evidence to pick it up.

Great review KL! Such a great book, isn't it!! I'm about to start another of Michael's recommendations too... Until Tuesday.
Still not convinced, need to read more of your reviews. Reminds me of that awful Goldie Hawn movie 'Overboard'.Note to self: Michael will probably not accept friend request today.

Read all of our reviews Lee...it is truly one of the best around!! But everyone is different, so I guess the only way you'll know for sure, is to read it yourself:) *of course Michael will*

That's ok, it's an old movie by Christopher Nolan the director of Inception. It's nothing like Overboard
Carrie Anne Moss and Jorja Fox, maybe I should watch it..... Oh wait, it's the book I am supposed to read ;)
Watch the movie and then claim you read the book :-P lol it doesn't work like that, they are different
On that subject, I read Ridley Scott's production house has bought the right to develop this book into a movie. I can see that it could be made into a great movie, but there is a certain appeal that comes with "reading" Christine's journal entries as oppposed to "watching" it. Reading the journal puts us in the same spot as Christine, we are forced to conjure our own visuals of her past and connect the dots with the present and we had interpreted the journal entries correctly IYKWIM.
Last year I decided to download and read as many random books as I could, without knowing anything about them. And so you can imagine my surprise at this book!
It was really good. I think it tapped into fears of being controlled and not being believed, or losing one's mind, that a lot of people experience in relationships.
It was a great book. I devoured it on my flight back from Europe. So gripping. Terrifying at the end. I was suspecting the twist but it didn't matter. It still frightened me. Very 'claustrophobic' kind of read. Great book!
I really enjoyed this book. I didn't know it was being made into a movie, that will be interesting to compare!
