A science fiction review of the series

Thanks for sharing this article as it is insightful. It also helped me better understand why the three books reviewed are my least favorite...the science never made sense. And, the elements of the series he praised are what keep me invested in the series.
I found the article to be a fair and objective analysis of the series. It also makes a difference that the author read every book.

The reviewer, Sarah Stegall, is critical of the scientific aspects of the books--as, frankly, so am I. But if you don't let yourself get too thin-skinned and look at the review as a whole, it's actually mostly flattering. She likes the characters, the tone, the storytelling, the writing quality...and, most important, she seems to have read the entire series so far. This is not someone who wants to tear it down, just look at its weak points for what they are and still enjoy the books. All in all, I think this is a very positive review.
