Blinkin'ijiot | 6 comments Before I started fiddling with them, there were two books on GR with the name "1000 ways to win Monopoly Games". It is by Jay Walker and Jeff Lehman.

I have a copy of the book and there is no clearly identified ISBN number on it (it was published in 1975), but the number 440-04812-150 is written on the spine. Both of the editions of the book on GR have some partial version of this number as their ISBN, but I strongly believe that they are really the same book and that someone just fiddled around with the spine number to get an acceptable ISBN number.

I chose one of the two that were already on GR and cleaned it up-- correcting the author field which had both authors' names in the one field, added the cover and a description to it, etc.

The other edition that was already there, I merely added the second author to.

I was going to combine this with the other one, but before I could figure out how to combine an edition that has two authors, I decided to ask for help here. How do I handle editions where I really don't know or believe that there are two editions with two different ISBN's? Any suggestions about what I should do from here?

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 1568 comments If it's the same book, even in different forms, or with different isbns, you can combine. You just need to have the same author listed first on each edition. More details here: http://www.goodreads.com/help/librari...

When in doubt as to whether to combine, check here:

Blinkin'ijiot | 6 comments OK. I was concerned about whether or not there were really two editions involved or just one book with two different "made up" ISBN's, but I'll interpret your comments to mean that I shouldn't sweat it and I'll just combine the editions.

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 1568 comments I did a google search with each isbn, and both pull up the book...so it looks like two different editions with legit isbn's.
