ABANDONED. kids mystery series of books with the word "Apple" in the title. Possibly from the late 80's to early/mid 90's

I think it's a mystery series but I can't guarantee it. It's been so long ago. But these were some of my favorite books when I was a kid so any help you could give would be appreciated :)
