Where do you think Katniss first begin falling in love with Peeta?
I think that she started liking him during the first book, but she fell in love with him in catching fire around the time he gave her the pearl.

I agree. When Peeta was taken by the Capitol, Katniss knew she was falling for him, but she hid her feelings because she knew the Capitol was capable of killing him.
Oh, and the reason Katniss fixed Peeta's leg was because of the star-crossed lovers thing Peeta started... or at least that's what she thought at first....
Well she wasn't sure why she was helping him exactly....But she would of felt wrong to leave him (in HG) all mangled up like that..

What if you had a choice- go save a person you knew nothing about, or save yourself?
Well, she owed him for the bread...I would of saved the person..It would make me scream at myself but I would of done it...(well if the person was as nice as Peeta)

I would if they wouldn't kill me..However thats how I envision horrible and cruel..I mean I would save if she was just annoying and high maintenec (or her)..actaully is anyone high maintence in the games??

I would DEFINITELY save Peeta...even if I didn't know him..i would save him because I would feel too guilty to not save him..and besides I would know at least that he is nicer than I am and that he would be better off living than me..
Totally true the guilt would kill me

Well... she never really realized it herself til the end of the last book. At least that's what I think. No, she did not love him from the very start... she grew to love him.
I think she realized herself at the end..ohh how I love the last two paragraphs....
so... what do you think of Katniss' relationship with Prim? What did she feel when Gale killed her, because it doesn't say much about that.
A lot of people seem to think it was when Peeta gave her the bread. I don't think so. She was obviously grateful but I don't think she had any feelings for him beyond that. The first book gives the impression that she hasn't even thought of that bread incident again until Peeta's name is called in the reaping for the games. I think it started in the arena during the first hunger games. She just doesn't fully realize it at that point. I don't think she fully realizes it until the third book, Mockingjay.
When in the arena?? A clue was when he said "So in a way my name being drawn in the reaping is a bit of luck." and she felt happy and then she said something in her mind like "Aren't we supposed to be pretending to be in love, not actually in love?"..
I think she had feelings for him during the first book in the arena but I don't hink she actually loved him until the last book when Peeta asked her if she loved him "real or not real" and she CHOSE him. Love is a choice, not a feeling. She loved him when she realized she needed the daisy and not the fire.

I guess that's also kinda how Suzanne Collins wrote it in the book. I remember all the times I read that part, I was thinking why it was saying that Katniss had chose someone. It made me feel like she was picking who would protect her more, not who she loved more. Then again, I guess it would've cause people who preferred Gale to be upset that she loved Peeta more. And then again, I don't know.
The feelings are a side effect of love. Trust me, you don't always "feel" like you love someone. How many times have teenegers thought they "hated" there parents, but later realize that they do love them and always will. You have to purpose in you're heart to stick with someone. Why do you think there are so many divorses these days? People lose that "feeling" instead of sticking with that person and CHOSING to love them. But I guess everyone has there own ideas. And oh yeah *palm to forehead* it was dandelion. Don't know how I forgot that!
Hmmm....Well she made the best choice for her..I think she loved them equally, that's what made it so hard..Although at times it seemed that she + Gale were only friends..Well I think she made a good choice. Gale and her were too similar and Peeta gave her the hope to keep on living..
