I've only watched the first (?) episode last night, I have some catching up to do. I can't remember everyone's names, just the kid who did X or the one who said X. I'll get there, though!
There is a website for the show if you need help with the names. I know some of them already. Did you see the casting calls or the one when they had the final 12? Do you have a favorite yet?
I didn't see the casting calls. I usually only watch Sports Center or House Hunter (which I am mad at right now), so I'm not hip with tv. I hear about tv shows from here - which is how I found the Glee Project!So far, I like the Irish guy and the Nerd. I do not like the flirty girl. I just don't!
The one girl, who told the cameras that the jokes about her looking young were getting old, I don't understand her. She said she didn't like it, but that's pretty much all she did. Joke about her being young or pretend to be younger. It was slightly disturbing, though I did like her singing.
Sorry. I was not really into Samuel. Perhaps he will win me over this week. I only saw the final 12 on last weeks episode so no casting call show for me either. It is too early for me to pick favorites, but Matheus and Marissa both have good voices. Lindsey, Emily, and Alex all got on my nerves.
Oh Heidi, you're naming names, I don't recognize any of them, I'll have to look them up!
I looked them up. Alex is the black kid who sings like a girl. Emily is the flirty one and Lindsey is the one who has been taking lessons her whole life so she is better than everyone.
I am Team Cameron and Team Matheus. Cameron has a really interesting vibe about him and I would love to listen to his music. Matheus would be a great addition to Glee. He is so different that he would totally fit in as a Gleek and he has a good voice.
Can't stand Alex, Emily and Lindsey. They are all so full of themselves.

Ellis is the young looking one. I wanted to like her... I really did because I am the same way... I look 12 maybe 16 if I wear make-up but she was annoying me too. Damian is the Irish one. He is from the singing group Celtic Thunder so I was already a fan of his going into the show.
Like I said about Samuel... I know him from Idol. I am also subscribed to him on YouTube (thatsrightisaidit51) and following him on Facebook, Twitter and Myspace. I knew he did the Myspace audition for Glee so when I found out about it (him making the top 12) I screamed... and teared up a bit because I was so happy for him!
I found out about the Glee Project and Samuel and Damian being in the top 12 because my mom seen the music video on the Celtic Thunder web site. :)

I don't have any faves yet, I like listening to the Irish dude and I like the dorky kid, he's cute. Mostly I wanted to give them all a chill pill and take away their coffee.
I didn't realize there was the possibility of watching the casting calls or the top 12 callbacks. I saw a couple 5 min. videos on the website, is that what you are referring to? Otherwise, I'm mad I missed it! I thought Sunday night was the first and only episode so far. Anyway,my personal favorite is Cameron. I think he's adorkable. He also has one of the better voices IMO. I think Damian has really good chances for the win, despite being in the bottom three. He has one of the best potential storylines and would add a deeper male voice to the mix. Samuel is my second fave. I really don't like Emily or Ellis. Emily is way too flirty and full of herself and Ellis came off really poorly in that first episode. Her baby-talk was genuinely scary lol.

My concern about the show is that the reason I love Glee in general is because it was a bunch of unknown actors so I could really buy them as their characters, but if I get to know these new kids as real people I can going to have a harder time accepting them on the show. Who knows. If I really get attached to someone this concern may be mute.
I am hoping Ellis tames it down some next week because I think she perhaps just got off to a bad start. The baby talk was creepy - agreed!
The casting call episode was aired before the first official episode. I am sorry you missed it, Brandi. I agree a lot with what you said. Ellis with her baby talk is weird. Emily is to flirty and it comes across... kinda trashy! I would say my top 3 are Samuel, Damian then Cameron. I don't have a favorite girl yet. I think Ellis did the best in her bottom 3 performance. I am already attached so I am rooting for them whether it is easy to separate them from their characters or not.
Aw dang I'm so disappointed. I'm going to have to try to track that casting call episode down online.

Did anyone watch the vulnerability episode?? Was anyone was surprised when (view spoiler) went home? I kind of was as (view spoiler) was growing on me. Also, I'd like to point out that I really love Cameron's voice. I'd buy his album if he had one, and I hardly ever buy music (I listen to my faves over and over and over again).

Peep good news! Cameron has an EP available on itunes!It's called Love Can Wait. It has 5 songs and it's only $4.95. I love him too and did some research to see what else he has done. I hope he gets a major record deal asap.

I think Damien describing himsel as numb was a good descriptor, he hardly ever shows his emotions. And it's sad he's always in the bottom. At least he survived being Jessie's Girl :P

I agree, he does need to find a way to break through that wall before they stop giving him chances. I really hope he does it because i think he's my favorite. He's one of the only ones that doesn't annoy me.
The worst is Lindsey! She's like Rachel come to life but a lot colder.
Ahhh I'm in Canada and can't get The Glee Project! But I'm dying to see it... is there somewhere I can watch the episodes online?

I love the judges. They just come off as real. Not catty like we see so many other judges doing. They call it like they see it, and I can't tell too much if they have favorites. I can never guess who the middle (main) judge will pick. He gives positive feedback and still will cut you.
I didn't figure it out until the judges all started giggling. It was brilliant, and I love how the creator of Glee always says that he looks for people he can write for, not necessarily the best singer. Even if he has a hard time showing emotion, I can still see how to write for him. It's the tall black girl that I cant get a read on.I know, I really like the show. I like the layout too. I can't wait for tonights episode.
Oh, I didn't realize that he was the creator. I do like when he says that as well. You can tell he is really good at what he does. I can never do it. I would turn a blind eye whenever my favorites mess up. I like McKynleigh, she seems nice and quiet.We don't get the channel it comes on, so I can only watch it on Demand. I think it won't be available until Wednesday or Thursday. :(
I didn't realize that they were older. I thought they were younger, like 16 or so. They act so much like kids. Heh, I'd probably act the same way in a group setting!

Apparently I forgot around July 11th!
So was there an episode this past Sunday because it is not on Hulu or Oxygen yet.
I am on the the last one on Hulu episode 7 sexuality, but it says it aired 07/31.
Yeah, there's been one more since then. There was one this last Sunday.

Thanks for the link Amanda! Cameron is my fave, though I'm rooting for Damien as well since he seems really nice and everyone seems to love him.
Damien is my favorite, he has been since the beginning. Every week I get panicked that he's going to go home. I did like Cameron's voice, too.

Haha, I agree. And I like his waggly eyebrows.
They were totally trying to get him to stop doing it last week, I noticed they cut half his eyebrows out of the final video, he must not have gotten them under control.
I chuckled watching him because he was trying so hard to not do it. And he had already said to the camera that he hoped his eyebrows wouldn't start dancing.

Ryan calls it like he sees it! I noticed that Samuel was saying what he thought would please the judges and not what he really thought. Which I don't know if it's totally a bad thing if you really want to win. :/

I am kind of thinking it is a bad idea to watch this show now because I will know too much about whoever wins and it might effect my reaction to them on Glee. I was happy with the two in the top two this week because I think they both deserved a break from the chopping block.
I think that Ryan writes toward the actor though. So if Samuel wins (not that I want him to), I think they would write to that character who thinks he's just oh so too cool.I'm still hoping for Damien... after that I'm not sure, because the other ones aren't close to my favorite. I think I'd actually opt for Lindsey next, because Alex and Samuel kind of drive me insane.
I agree. Damien first and then I guess it would have to be Lindsey above the other two. Linsdey kind of reminds me of Katherine McPhee (sp?)when she was on American Idol - a classically tranined singer with a great voice but little soul/heart to go along with it.
Who are you rooting for and who do you not like at all?
I am Team Samuel all the way. I have adored him since he was on Idol and got cut in Hollywood. I also like Damian and Cameron (Damian is from Celtic Thunder.)
I don't like Alex or Emily. Emily reminds me of Santana. We do not need another Santana... :-P
