Iso, Kati is a young woman currently suffering under the delusion that she has been to hell and was followed out by devils, whom she alone can see. She's very kind, but very quiet. She's learned that being quiet is better and easier than trying to maintain conversation in high-stress situations, which occurr often for her because of her hallucinations. She's very empathetic and picks up on other people's emotions easily, and these perceptions often affect the nature of her hallucinations (if the person she's talking to is calm, the demons are less active or may disappear altogether, and if they're angry the demons start hissing and showing their claws, etc.).
Sel is a volunteer at the asylum, in part to get community service hours and in part to keep an eye on her best friend Alys, whom I believe you have met. She's witty and sarcastic, especially when she's mad or afraid, and she gets very angry very quick if you hurt someone she loves. She is very compassionate and fiercely protective and loving of those she cares about. She's very reliable; you can count on her to get shit done, whatever that shit may be. She'll do anything to help a friend (or even a stranger) in need.
She is very independent and a wee bit stubborn, and is apt to go poking around places not exactly good for her health if the spirit moves her.
