Me: The pronunciation is difficult though, I think. I mostly sound like I'm groaning half of the time. But I guess with only two lessons, I'm not doing that bad.

Me: Yeah, pronounciation is pretty odd. I absolutely hate the nasal r sound in French. It's all but impossible to mimic.

Me: Yes! It's really difficult! Especially the vowels that make the eu or the euoo sounds and they're not always consistent with the vowels. I hate it!

Me: It gets easier, I promise c: I absolutely hate when they put three vowels next to each other, though, like soeur. That word is and always will be impossible to pronounce. And feuilly.

French is hard. But i like it c:

Me: They're more alike than you think if you study them at the same time. They come from the same root and so a lot of their words are the same.

Me: I would imagine. But they don't sound the same, which is my point, despite the fact that they are both Romance languages and come from Latin.

Me: That's true. That's what makes French more difficult. It's more nasally/breathy and all the words come out in this flow that if you pause or stop it really ruins the whole sentence. You can usually et away with that in Spanish but not French.

Get this, Silvy: since I have to remake Raven's character sheet, I decided to give him a birthday like I've done with every character since Carlos--and he was born on Christmas. XD
