Me: Well, naturally, people would still be terrified of the thought of ending their own life, but perhaps they're just so desperate they feel like they have no other choice. It could be something as simple as his hand shakes so badly that he misses a vital vein and the doctors come in right after to feed him. Or he could drink poison that's old and not effective and only does so much to make him vomit and pass out.

Me: Or the typical trying to shoot himself and either missing or not having loaded a bullet. Or ineffective pills.

Me: The thing, though, is that if Raven really wanted to kill himself--and he would--he wouldn't miss. Especially not with a gun. So what I was thinking was he slits his own wrists and then his throat, thinking that he was completely alone, but he's not. It's been well-known for a while now that he's a little off the handle, so maybe his room is being monitored and he's rushed to the infirmary almost as soon as it happens? That's what I think, but I don't know if it's plausible.

Me: I don't know if it's time plausible... Cutting his throat alone would be extremely dangerous and he would probably die quickly. Especially when he has blood coming out of his wrists too. It would probably be cutting it very, very close.

Me: Through the wrists wouldn't be so bad, I don't think. The throat is just a very vulnerable place with the jugular and all.

Me: Have him slit sideways. He's so far gone he won't think about how it won't work. He'll bleed a lot, but cutting sideways doesn't break the artery and is easily salvageable.
