Avery was cocky. Drake was a douche. He threatened her, she got too cocky, stepped away from safety. He attacked her with a dagger, and cut the word 'traitor' deep into her arm and stomach. Then he kicked her in the ribs, broke a few, broke her jaw, and went away.
