What would you do if you were in Vanessa or in Calli's situation?

I could see why Vanessa is mad and also why Calli can't let go of Gregory. But I think if a friend like a guy especially best friend that person should back off. But in this situation Gregory like's Calli which makes the whole situation more complicating.
