Is there any way to list yourself as a contributor?

I just looked up a book that I contributed to a while ago. It's here on Goodreads, but listed as 'by' the editor. Is there any way to list yourself as a contributor to an anthology?

I don't see how you could get into the listing person's account to do that, nor should you. But can you contact the editor and ask to have conbtributors listed? Amazon's KDP has a place for doing that, but the account owner has to do it.

I was left off as the author of a book and just contacted the various sites listing it to have the info added, but they had to go back to the publisher to verify that I was the author (despite my name being visible right there on the cover).

I was in the same situation - if you can get a weblink from something from the publisher and mail it to Amazon they'll update for you. I think you but where you click Update Product Info.

You should always follow through on these things. The publisher at St Martin's Press told me -- and this was after I had an international reputation for a decade or more -- that what persuaded them to take me on was seeing me anthologized in the reference book "Novel and Short Story Writer's Market". Last person you would think would need to refer to such a reference, right? Wouldn't a publisher attach more importance to me being on the W. W. Norton list? Or enthusiastic reviews in the NYT, Kirkus, Library Review? You never know who sees an anthology, or what importance they attach to it.

The smartest guy in our business, bar none, not even me, is William Goldman. He spoke the truth when he said, "Nobody knows anything." I've always taken that as meaning that even the smallest detail may be significant and is therefore worth attending to.
