Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments What a fun find!!! I just went down the rabbit hole and there’s some names that reoccur and some new authors. I love it. I am going to use it too 💕

Janice (jamasc) | 59890 comments I've run across this website before and it's lots of fun, and has lots of possibilities for challenges. Thanks for posting it here.

Katrisa | 4460 comments This summer I hung out with my in-laws a lot and they are super Catholic. One of my favorite things about Catholics is how they have a saint for everything. I am not even religious but I have a tidy collection of saints hanging around my house/cars because it can't hurt - might help. Maybe we could do a monthly Patron Saint challenge and use a random saint generator like:
http://saintsnamegenerator.com/
and choose a book based on your saint.

I love this, Katrisa. I always think these random generator tasks are fun. :)

That sounds like fun.

As A Catholic i love this idea some of the more obscure - a friend chose Zita as her confirmation name she is the patron Saint of maids and domestic servants.

I spend a lot of time praying to Saint Jude - patron saint for hopeless causes asking him to get my son's house sold

I went to St Jude's Primary School. I distinctly remember sitting in a school assembly hearing about patron saints and how they looked after those who were dedicated to or prayed to them.

I must have been 7 or 8, was picking the furry letters off my uniform school backpack, and went "So that means... hang on... ohhhhh..."

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Seriously though, hope there is some divine intervention with your son's house *fingers crossed*

Yay! Props to St.Jude!

Sarah | 18550 comments This came up in my facebook feed this week - https://bookriot.com/read-favorite-bo... it has book recommendations based on your favourite board game. I know there are a lot of us that play various board games in the group and thought something like this could be an awesome challenge.

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments I was reading about the NY marathon that takes place tomorrow and thought it might be fun to have challenge, toppler, etc. related to the World Marathon Majors. This is a circuit of 6 marathons: Chicago, New York, Boston, London, Berlin and Tokio.

Kristie | 19141 comments That’s a good idea, Sandra.

Sharon Hopper | 2420 comments I have a notebook that I divide into each category: monthly, group, two other book clubs I belong too. The vast majority of the notebook, I use for the yearly challenge. Keeping track of it on a hard copy is a bit easier for my arthritic hands.

Vicki | 1538 comments Janice's clue about peering into the darkness made me think of constellations. It doesn't fit with her other hints for next year but I think it would make a nice theme for a challenge somehow.

message 666: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59890 comments It would be similar to the zodiac theme we did a couple of years back, but I can see some possibilities.
