Kim Looking for a pattern for a nice warm winter coat. Do you guys know of any books out there on this theme and hoodies?

Kim Hey Thanks! I keep reading about EZ and she has many fans. I did read one revu here that says it comes with a DVD and that I'd be lost without it. I wonder...being a beginner. I'll bring it up with my knitting instructor. If she's familiar with EZ maybe she can guide me through. At any rate, I liked the pictures on the front and the colors too!

Debbie | 4 comments Knitting Daily, an e-zine from Interweave Knits, has The Central Park Hoodie available for PDF download. They also feature "Gallery Girls" periodically - several different shaped women model one of the sample knits and the author comments on how to improve the pattern based on the body type.

Linda The Knitting Experience Book 1: The Knit Stitch by Sally Melville has a pattern for the Einstein Coat that looks like it would be fun to make.

Kim Thanks Debbie, I love the CP Hoodie! Downloaded it. Interesting feature "Gallery Girls", I'll check it out. Linda, I put KE Book 1 and the Book 2 which is for purl on my list to buy. Saw a book called Kimono Knit too, by Vicki Square, anybody have experience with that book? I'm thinking maybe I could do a long kimono as a coat. Great ideas everyone. Thanks for your help!

Julie M (woolyjooly) Kim, perhaps you've already made your winter coat pattern decision, but check out the Jean Moss book called (I think) 'Knitted Jackets'. She's got some nice ones, fashionable and sporty.
