Isn't HughesNet the one that advertises that you can have fast internet as long as your house has a view of the sky on the south side?Sally, how would a book shebang work?

We do it like this- not sure if it would be worthy of a shebang- but here it is:
People volounteer, when we have an even number, whoever organizes it randomly pairs up teams. You study each other's bookshelves and based on past selections and ratings you choose a book for your partner that you think he/she would like. You can either mail a book to each other, or you can simply make recommendations for each other. When there's an odd number, someone usually volunteers to do two 'virtual' swaps. The whole idea is to try to pick a book your partner would actually enjoy that they have not read.
I think she's saying it doesn't matter how you get the book - it's about one person picking a book for the other to read. That's kinda cool.
I don't mean I'll bite like that, LG... I mean like... y'know... I'll bite.As in she has my attention.

Yes, Sarah’s right- I wasn’t very clear. Some people that live fairly close to each other will actually mail a book. Most people simply choose a book and pass on the title and you can get it from the library or whatever you like. One thing to remember is to make certain the book is available in your partner’s area. Some books have different titles in different countries and some are not available at all.
That is one cute little muzzle :)
I like that book shebang. Count me in. But what would be the time allotted for reading the book? I'm a slow reader.
And again, I don't have any summer reading list planned out. I just started Middlemarch. It seems to be going relatively quickly. I'll just pick the next book after I'm finished with the current one, as usual.
I pick books for a summer vacation (or any vacation) a little differently. I usually pick 2-3, and they can't be fat or heavy. Have to be paperbacks.
