Tracie (mom2teebee) I really liked Twelve Nights of Christmas.

I know I read Bedded by Blackmail, but I wasn't keeping track then to see if I liked HP's or not.

Ditto on Kouk. Loved Ruthlessly Bedded, Forcibly Wedded.

Aruana | 248 comments Just finished Bedded by Blackmail by Julia James. Another emotional punch. I could literally feel the H/h's pain. Sounds melodramatic, but it's true. Excellent. I'm having such a good run on good books at the moment.

Next up: The Playboy In Pursuit (Harlequin Presents #2140) (. Need a bit of a change in pace. Love Miranda Lee!

See you on the other side!

Rebecca (bd200789) I just finished Castles of Sand by Anne Mather. I first read it years ago and I was finally able to find it again. It was just as good as I remembered.

Rebecca (bd200789) Ashley gave up her son to his wealthy, royal Arab family years ago. Now she is teaching in England and sees that he will be in her class this term. She goes to resign but sees Alain, her son's uncle and her son first. He takes Hussein out of school and she tells him she'll take him to court of is doesn't let her teach Hussein. He agrees to a month trial and she goes back home with them. They agree to let Hussein think Ashley is just his tutor instead of telling him she's his mother.
this was the first hp I read and I was finally able to get another copy.

I liked Bride in a Gilded Cage. The heroine had enough "fight" in her that didn't make the book boring for me. Also, I liked that it was something other than Greek or Italian. As much that I love reading about my greek and italian men...this was refreshing.

I started a new book today. So far so good...but we shall see.

The Man Who Risked It All by Michelle Reid

message 262: by Vashti (new)

Vashti | 732 comments Read The Return Of The Moralis Wife and really enjoyed it.

message 263: by Vashti (new)

Vashti | 732 comments Bride In A Guilded Cage eas one of my fav books last year.

message 264: by Aruana (last edited Apr 15, 2012 01:19AM) (new)

Aruana | 248 comments Vashti, Bride in a Guilded Cage was good. I also enjoyed it.

Anyone read Undone by His Touch by Annie West? Very interesting story - the theme is a blind H. There's also the issue of the heroine having been stalked. Creepy!

That sounds good, Aruana. I might have to read that soon. I try to spread the love around and read different authors, but writers like Annie West always lure me back to their books!

Romance Lover (demetrahp) | 88 comments I just finished The Spaniard's Marriage Bargain by Abby Green . It was amazing! I felt so bad for the hero and heroine, for what they both went through because of the heroine's illness. The ending was great, too. I finished the book with a smile on my face. 5 stars.

I have heard that is a great book, Demetra. I need to pull that off the shelf!

message 268: by Vashti (new)

Vashti | 732 comments Demetra, yes that was a very good book,AG has yet to disappoint me.

message 269: by Aruana (new)

Aruana | 248 comments Just finished reading A Deal at the Altar by Lynne Graham. Why am I still reading Lynne Graham? She's just become so lazy. I'm always hoping that THIS one will be different.

I just read An Arabian Marriage by her and I can't believe it is the same author!

I have say that I liked the h, Beatriz. She is spunky. Sergios is an alpha male through and through. He actually tells her that the issue of his mistress is not up for negotiation.

I bit of a kink in the sex and the fact that Beatriz does pole dancing. I've read about woman these days taking up pole dancing to fire up their lovelife. It does come across as very sexy in the book. I just didn't like him very much and the redemption came a bit too late.

Leona (wdwcbm) | 373 comments Aruana, I find LG to be very hit or miss for me...so I am extremely careful what I purchase as a read from her. I do think her earlier works are very very good...and she is living off of her past reputation.

message 271: by Aruana (new)

Aruana | 248 comments I've just finished His Wedding Ring of Revenge. Quite decent. There's so much angst in Julia James' books. The same with this one.

Starting The Twelve Nights of Christmas by Sarah Morgan. See you on the other side.

I recently read this too! It was a challenge finding it, but I'm glad I didn't give up on my search. Loved it too!

I'm reading The Petrov Proposal by Maisey Yates , it has 3.70 rating on GR which is rare for an HP book in my experience.

Aruana | 248 comments I just finished Jane Porter's The Italian Groom (Latin Lovers). I've come to the realization that I love Porter's heroes. They are alphas, but they are not a**holes.

This one was interesting: the h was pregnant by a married man the H (Niccolo) is an old family friend who asks the h to marry him. Wow, that is fantastic.

I want more Jane Porter!

This is a great one, one of Green's best.

Leona (wdwcbm) | 373 comments Hi. I am thinking of reading Purchased for Revenge by Julia James ...But the reviews are very mixed. Some love it, some not so happy. Consensus is it is a dark read. Would you recommend I read it? I really hate to break my string of fabulous reads. I am a huge Julia James fan....but I am hesitant on this one.

message 288: by Aruana (new)

Aruana | 248 comments I liked Purchased for Revenge - one of my keepers.

I've just finished The French Tycoon's Pregnant Mistriss by Abby Green. Wow! Loved it. She just writes such likeable H/h. The name Pascal Leveque had me. The book is so sexy, steamy. It felt like my fingers nearly got singed just holding the book! I'm getting so spoilt with really good books.

I'm about to start At The Greek Boss's Bidding by Jane Porter. I think my 3 fave authors at the moment are Abby Green, Annie West and Jane Porter - in no specific order.

I agree with you about The French Tycoon's Pregnant Mistress being very sexy. She did a great job with the chemistry in the novel.

message 290: by Aruana (new)

Aruana | 248 comments I've just finished At The Greek Boss's Bidding by Jane Porter by Jane Porter. Loved it. Blind hero. I loved the heroine - she was very strong and very liberated. Not a shrinking violet. The ending was a bit rushed. I wanted more .....

Toss-up between 2 Annie Wests: Scandal: His Majesty's Love-Child and Passion, Purity and the Prince. Not sure which one to start ....

I then have Blackmailed Into the Italian's Bed by Miranda Lee by Miranda Lee.

Mmmm, I see a theme here .....

Aruana | 248 comments Just finished Surrender To The Sheikh (London's Most Eligible Playboys) by Sharon Kendrick.

Please give this a miss! What an odius book. I detested Khalim with a passion. A spoilt, petulant Prince. Rose, the h was forever proclaiming what a feminist she was, but then she allowed him to treat her like dirt.

Have to admit that I just scanned the last part of the book. Wasted 2 hours of my life!

Not sure what I'm going to read next ... I've had such a good run of it and now this has to happen. Cest la vie!

Btw, I can't believe some of the reviews on this book! There are actually people that liked it - a lot.

I find that a lot of books I loved get rated poorly. And there are some books that everyone else loved and I...didn't. I refuse to believe I have bad taste! So I have to agree with that saying, Verity.

message 300: by Verity (new)

Verity | 567 comments If yours is bad then U could call mine atrocious, sista haha...

SK heroes are not exactly cuddly pooh bears. In RL chicks would say beat it, but in HPlandia, heroines just find a kernel of luvable quality even if it's microscopic.

I luved AG - The Brazillian's blackmail bargain. A generic title but wot's between the covers matters the most.
