Okay so was anybody really shocked to find out Charles was Meghan's normal life dad? I wonder if or how his character will come into play in future books. I don't think we've seen the last of him yet.
Rowan. Man that is a character that makes me want to reach through the pages and throttle him. Kind of reminds me of self centered rich kid who thinks they are entitled to everything and will do whatever to get it.Shame he didn't get his in this book. Guess I will have to hope he does at some other time.
I can not wait to find out more about Meghan's powers. She seems to be incredibly powerful and I don't think we've seen her limit yet. I like how it's presenting itself though. It's almost as she has no clue it's there until she just does. Kinda of neat and yet frustrating at the same time.
Ash. Wow this character took a beating this book. My heart ached and even cracked a bit in some places. What Virus did to him was horrible! And everytime they talked of killing him, I was upset. One of the great things about author's I love. If they can get me to care enough about their characters, that right there can make or break a book for me.
Let's talk ending. How big of a cliffhanger was this for everyone?I found it to be a good cliffhanger but not the kind that had me going, WTH!?
It left me worried for Ash and Meghan and wondering if they'd ever get back to Nevernever and what was coming next for them. But it was almost a peaceful cliffhanger. Very calm and serene.
I am curious tho. What will Ash do on the outside? Meghan can go home, but where will he go? What about Puck. I feel so bad for him, left behind. The king and queens are such nimrods! lol
Grim. This character fascinates me. I never know which way is up with him. I adore him and fear him all at the same time lol.He truly has that sneaky cat vibe going for him. He seems to be out for the greater good but then again I wonder if he would be if it was not in his benefit.

I think I actually had tears a couple times with the Ash storyline. I just love him!

I think the calm clif hanger is just the calm before a huge storm in the next book. I felt it was very easy going compared to how the books have gone.
I just saw Ziaia's rating and that made me curious as to which book you all liked the best so far. Book one or book two? Or do you feel the same about both? Or what do you like more about one than you do the other? Too many questions? (sorry)

I'm with everyone else on Meghans dad. I thought we would see him. We even discussed it when on Twitter about how he disappeared so suddenly and they all knew who he was. But I just wasn't sure where and how he was going to play into the fey world.
I thought this was kind of interesting. And he was a musician, but it doesn't seem as he was a big one though.
I think I was a little let down with Puck as he didn't say anything about who he was or even lead on. I see why he didn't as Meghan didn't remember and would she have believed him anyway. But Puck was right. What would Meghan have done? What can she do? And is his damage reversable? At least he is "safe" bodily.

Oh that darn Rowan. I have to agree with 365andme and Mee305. I was hoping he would get his. He was a wonderful evil character here. One you love to hate. :) Very nicely done.
I felt bad for Ash as he thought he killed him. Although I had a feeling he wasn't dead. And in the end I kind of figured he would have gotten away. I was surprised Meghan didn't try throwing that small piece of information into her story to Queen Mab, But I guess she knows she would have lost her ears at the mention of it.
Oh, I figure he is going to be a big player in a future book. We need to ralley up some strong evil characters for Meghan, Ash, and Puck to fight in the future.

Oh this is a wonderful new glamour here. The Iron Glamour. It is very very neat! I want to know more about it.
I wonder if Meghan took on this new ability because she killed the Iron King and the powers pass on that way or how? Remember the old king mentioned something in Iron King. I'm going to have to go back and see how he lost his king seat. But I wonder if she has taken on that ability now.
AND, Virus makes a comment that Meghan lets go. About being surprised it's Meghan. Sooooo, what is the prophecy here? Or is it said how the powers will pass?
When Meghan uses the scepter there is a white light. Why White? Is that the power color of Iron? I think it might be. AND with her using the scepter she has that popping feeling and overloaded on emotions. Did she break the seal she had on her fey glamour? I'm thinking she did.
Oh, oh... Iron Horse called her "Queen" I think she is the next Iron leader. Sounds interesting! I can't wait to see where the powers all go and the power she holds over others too.

Oooohhhh, I SOOOOOOO love Ash!!! He is my man for sure. :) My heart ached for him and broke several times for him. I didn't want to lose him just as much as Meghan, or maybe even more. I felt bad for him when he was at Meghan's house for her family. And he was always looking out for them! Unbelievable. :) That is a good man to have. But he didn't kill her parents, which showed some control in him.
But the end! Oh MY! I'm so glad he stood up for himself with loving Meghan. He and Meghan are wonderful together. I hate to see how the author will pull them apart in the future books. I could live with this book being the last. :) lol.
Although there is so much I still need answers too.

I agree with Mee503 this is the calm before the storm. And a very calm peaceful way. And you know these characters can't be left this way.
I think Ash could easily go to live with Meghan and her parents. I think her mother could understand, mostly.
But Meghan has many options too, as she mentioned. She could always go visit or even stay with Lea... and her dad...
I have to say I'm good with this ending. And I'm soooo scared to pick up the next books as I like Ash and Meghan being together. And I just know they are going to be drawn apart with something big bad and ugly. And I just don't want it! ;D
I do have loads of questions still to be answered though. About Meghan, and the world.

I do but I don't feel bad for Puck in the end. He loves Meghan, and he's lost her in more ways than one. He can't go with her, he can't protect her (he'll always worry about her & not knowing), and he lost her to another man - Ash.
But, Puck knew she had eyes and heart for Ash. I think he was trying to push at times before she was really ready to let Ash go. But, she wasn't saying no exactly either. He would have some hurt feelings for sure.
But I think he will always find a way to watch over her.

What was up with the gremlins? I think they knew she was the one with the iron power so they didn't fight her. They just left. Almost like they where smiling at her in approval. I'm thinking they new just like Iron Horse knew. She is Queen! (page 320)

I had a feeling he loved her when they were in the nurses office in school. The way he was talking to the nurse made me think so. I do wish he would have made his feelings known better before, but I guess since she didn't know of the fey world and he had to watch over her, what better way than be her best friend and go everywhere with her. But when she found out what the fey were he could let that know. She just happened to see Ash first. Bummer on the fates.

Have the pro-"Ash"ers won you over now? LOL. Though I'm going to play devil's advocate and say Puck had devoted his whole existence to her from the time she moved to Louisiana...just saying ;-) I still like Ash best; he's got (more) potential now.

The problem is Mab is so freakin' scary! She's made out to be very irrational, so won't stand to listen to anyone. It's entirely believable that when she says "never" to return, she means it big time. There must be a loop hole somewhere in the logic...

I liked Iron Daughter better. The characters did more for me here and there was lots of action. It really pulled on all the family emotions, between the killing of Sage, the betrayal of Rowan, and Meghan going back only to have to leave Ethan again. And of course, Charles. It just had more elements at play, than the first book did: who's the new king? what will happen to Ash & Meghan? etc.

OR, what if there's some prophecy out there about the joining of all the courts? Meghan has a bit of Summer and Iron, plus if she and Ash stay together (marry), it would be a melding of them all. Though I did think Virus saying Meghan was "the one" just a bit too Matrix-y, lol.

Yeah, that's true, but he was there as a job, sent by the King. Ash went against his Queen. So to me, he wins...lol.

I have to agree. I enjoyed this book so much more. I think the growth of Meghan's character helped dramatically for me. Even though she still has her hangups like making stupid promises and not seeing whats slapping her in the face, she has grown to care about the characters in the fey world more. And her actions are more to show for it too.
But like Jackie said there is more dynamics to the story. More going on here with different levels too. As I enjoyed Iron King it was a starter to the series through and through. This book is now to the meat of the stories.

At some point I think it was written that things slowed in a Matrix way. lol. ;D
But yes I was thinking Meghan might take over Queen of Iron land. And maybe she can pick what man she wants to keep the peace. Which since she is part summer there would be peace there so she could pick Ash and keep peace between all the courts.
But my fear is that Ash would not be able to live in Iron land as fey can't handle the iron. So that wouldn't work out either.
I'm not sure what is going to come of it. But I know I do want to find out. More now than before. :)

Thanks right! See she has a power over them. And they are iron. I too think she has taken on Machina's power.
But I'm curious again about how the old Iron King lost his power as king. I know he said Machina was stronger, but there has to be some "power" to being king. I'm going to have to go back to Iron King and look that part up again. *sigh*
