Alex was going to do Fallen. Now, his name isn't there anymore. :(
the guy who will direct City of Bones directed Priest and Legion, and i heard many negative reviews about them :|

Why not Alex Pettyfer!?!? This guy looks nothing like how ANYONE envisioned Jace!!!
I think it takes more than "the look" of a character to actually play said character. In certain books-turned-movies, the person has been spot on in the looks department but could not nail down the spirit, the meat and potatoes of what made that character special in the readers' minds. Jamie is a brilliant actor, I believe he will throw himself into the roll of Jace Wayland. The boy's got chops, and I want ACTORS, not pretty little NON-actors, to play these parts. As I love the books that much.
Jace is supposed to be insanely hot and this guy is not that AT ALL

Give Jamie a break. He'll surprise you all. He's a wonderful character actor who'll embody Jace Wayland's personality. Remember, Jace isn't just a pretty face, he's a complicated animal.
None of us actually knows what Jace looks like. Unless CC draws the perfect of him from her mind, we never will.

We do not know whether CC gave her drawing after looking at someone or simply based on her imagination. She might have seen someone and interpreted it into Jace. If not, then why would Jace's picture looks like Alex Pettyfer?

Not the cover. CC had no say for the 3 Mortal Instruments books. And the cover has no face. It was the drawing that I was pointing at.
alex is stupid i mean he resigned this role which is going to be a series of movies, this could have launched his career and he did not even get the hunger games roel or the other role he was going for instead he is gonna play channin tatum in his stu[id biopic film. i mean really!! he is so dumb omg it just makes me mad he was already rising with i am number four and beastly city of bones would have just made him better and more popular and would have launched him more to being the necxt blockbuster star :( ohhh alex

I can not say anything more about Jamie. He has been cast as Jace. So I have to accept it and wish the movie all the best. As for Alex Pettyfer, he will play Daniel Grigori from Fallen series. I hope his acting has improved since I am Number Four. He was good enough in Beastly although the movie is a mess. I wish Alex all the best!
amen, thank you at last someone with some sense. acceptance that Alex turned down the role to be jace, and in any case no one will live up to the jace we all have in our imaginations.
honestly, i'm now over alex as jace.. a bit worried about jamie being jace though... i try to reassure myself, but ugh I'm still worried!

so i've heard, but that site keeps changing every week between alex and max irons....
Totally not what I imagined jace to look like...when I first saw the cast, and I immediatly looked for Jace, when I saw this guy I told myself that I wouldn't see the movie....I was so hoping for Alex Pettyfer, he's the the closest to how I imagined Jace...Definatly NOT this guy....
