hahahaha good..at least im pretty sure we're not the only ones who think that :))))))) lol
i expected her to ve a little bit more lanky...and a new actress portraying her as well.but i like who they chose as well.
He is so not my Jace. But then again, Viggo Mortensen wasn't my Aragorn until he proved to be awesome and a half in the part, so I'm going to give this not-Jace a chance. We'll see... :/

Alex Pettyfer is the perfect Jace but after watching his movies I am convinced that Jamie is a better actor. A perfect face is no longer important if he can not play the sarcastic Jace. I prefer a good actor who can pull up all Jace personality and I think Jamie could do that.
alex didnt do the best john he could have been in I Am Number 4, so jamie it is.
I don't even want to see the movie. It's going to ruin the books for me and I love Jace! Hollywood will not ruin him for me
im hoping to read the whole series before i see the movies. so then hollywood can ruin the rest of my imagination throught the rest of theseries and i can take control of what they look like :)))
I will watch the movie and wish the best for it. If somehow it fails to match the book, then I just come back to my books.
Honestly, I think he should shave off the chin beard. It makes him look older than 17 years. I'm fine with him playing as Jace, and he looks kind of cute as a blond. I'm just wondering WHO ARE THE OTHER CHARACTERS?!?!

It was before I saw his movies. After watching his acting, I am horrified. I do not think he could pull Jace' sarcastic self.

i wasn't against or for him in the beginning, i was indifferent about it. i could have really cared less if he got the role or not. now after seeing his movies, he's not horrible but he's just not anything special with his acting so i would rather it be someone else. either way, i still have the books and the movie isn't going to ruin the written for me.

At first I was unhappy but now I wonder if we will be pleasantly surprised! I dunno... I'm so worried about the movie being terrible! If so I will be so disappointed!

Alex is not good enough as Jace. He is handsome yes, but that's all. Jace is more than just beautiful figure. Jace is also wit and sarcastic.

Jamie, in this case, is a better actor. And he is Brit. I love British actors in fantasy movies. I wish he could pull his best to play Jace...:)

There is no best guy before the movie is released, so saying Jamie is the next best guy is absurd.

Do you think it would be better for them to make this into a tv series instead.. I mean waiting year after year for these movies to be made gets me frustrated. plus the fact they start to look older to fast.. take Harry Potter I'm sorry but that boy looks like he's 29 or 30..lol

I dont know I'd rather wait a week than a year plus if you have dvr that all ways helps thats how I catch up on my Vampire Diaries.. ;) But think about though its what how many books, that means how many movies how long is that boy gonna look 17? They probably should have picked someone who's 13 that way by the time they do the last movie he still looks young.lol!!

Jamie Campbell Bower defiantly was not what I expected for Jace Wayland. Like others, he looks more of vampire than shadowhunter. Alex Pettyfer looks more like Jace Wayland and shadowhunter material. However, I'll let the producers put the movie together and then decided if Jamie Campbell Bower is any good or not. You never know, he just might be the Jace we know and love. The looks arent the only thing that make the character after all, the acting has a major part.
