Google him, way better pictures online. In my opinion he is hot, but is he right for Jace? Well have to wait and see. I'm not complaining though because I saw him on a new TV series Sunday night and I think I have a new obsession. I guess actors in movies nearly always don't meet our expectations, after all, who can compare to our imaginations?

Just having some faith in him won't hurt would it? It would way better than all of this negative feedback. I'm not saying you have to love him, but a little support for Jamie would be nice. He's an actor and we should respect him for being able to move Cassie Clare to tears by bringing Jace to life. Judging him only by whether he matches Jace in your imagination is just.. sad.
y is it sad??? we all have our own opinions and should be free to express them, im sorry to Jamie if they r aimed negatively @ him....but everyone has an opinion... it just might b that we like somebody better than the other cozz they r more like the character is described in the book

I know not everybody will be pleased with the casting choices but it isn't right to somewhat "bash" the actor because he wasn't a favorite. I've just seen some nasty comments about Jamie saying he looks hideous and "nothing" like Jace. They're both blond, lean, and tall, but his "hotness" is subjective. A girl can point to a random guy she thinks is hot and the other 99% of girls would cringe. They could've chosen Alex Pettyfer as Jace and I know some fans would react the same. The imagination is a powerful thing but I think some people just forget that reality is disappointing sometimes.
Sorry if I offended you or anybody else. I had no intention to but I had to get this out. ><
Well i think the reason for this group's existence is to allow people to vent their opinions on the given topic. I think in order to be fair we all should try not to take anybody's comment personally... Let's respect each other's posts. If some people want to call an actor hideous or butt ugly, then let them! (or let the actor defend himself lol) and if somebody says that calling someone butt ugly is mean then respect and move on... Without trying to react too much hehehehe I was sorely disappointed when rob pattinson bcame edward but hey, these people will put whoever they want as cast regardless of any of our reactions so i guess it's only fair that we allow people to vent as much as thry wany and how they want to!
Besides, no matter how we think that a certain actor is wrong for our Jayce, we will still end up watching the damn movie - out of loyalty and curiosity! It's disappointing but hey, maybe he'll grow on us... I doubt (he never grew on me even as i watched sweeney todd for like a gazillion times hehe rob as edvard has not either... But come to think of it, he won't care at all hahaha so it does not matter!

I'm more concerned of who's playing Clary.
Yeah I think she's ok but there is something that annoys me about her and I can't imagine her playing the part, but everyone says she a good actress........ I just didn't see her play Clay! Thats all i'm saying!

Isn't Clary supposed to be really short though?
cameras are magical beings which enable people who are short to be bigger (tom cruise) and people who are taller to look smaller, it is in the camera angles.

Right now, in this pic, he looks like a rat on steroids, hope they make him more Jace-like in the actual movie. I actually wanted Alex Pettyfer to be Jace, then I watched Beastly... The guy can't act to save his life.

He is a good actor, but sooo not the right person to play jace! when i picture jace his face does not come to mind, nor his build. i mean hes kind of scrawny:( jace is sapposed to be tough and he is sapposed to be able to kick someones but no problem.

Um the twilight movie was way worse than the book. The acting sucked, the direction sucked, the script sucked ... you get the point ...

Well, this picture seems a bit squashed, but Jamie Campbell Bower is NOT how I imagined Jace. I think, from what acting I have seen of him, that he is a little too 'girlish' (for lack of a better word at hand) and sensitive. I imagined my Jace to be a little more badass...

I think a lot of people pictured Alex as Jace, I did in a way, but Jamie is a really good actor. Despite maybe not being the way everyone imagined Jace looking, I think he'll pull it off. Really how often do the actors look exactly like you imagined the characters?
