Apparently this is what our Jace Wayland is supposed to look like!

And alex turned the part down because he was staring in alot of others during that time and i don't think he regrets it. theres too much pressure for this film fo the young and old actors.
I wanted Alex Pettyfer to play the part. I'm very disappointed with the casting.

I think everyone is so into alex because he's the closest looking actor to Jace. And theres so much presure because its such a popular book and all the book fans just hope it doesnt get ruined it has amazing potential. Also i've never been a fan of jaime but lets see what happens.
Agree! We have to get Jamie a chance at least! Like I love Alex Pettyfer too, but it was his choose to turn down the movie! And I agree that it was alot of pressure on him! I think if they didn't froce him and stuff he would of been fine playing the role, but it is a big comitment to play Jace! Think about it 4 books, big role! That was his choose! And it's not the end of the world if he doesn't play it because he might play Daniel in the Fallen Sieres and I think that fits him too! :)

“We’re looking to start shooting in January. What I can say is that I’m incredibly lucky to play this part, and for them to cast a Brit in this role is a bold call. I feel like I owe a lot to the people who are fans of the books, so at the moment I’m knuckling down and trying to get my head around who this guy is.”

Haha I guess he's not the worst. And I will always have the perfect Jace in my head...... Just imagine the guy on the cover, but with the rest of his face showing. Not too imaginative, I know, but he has an amazing body and half of a face!

her idea of Hot is perfect it's the casting directors that need to read the book and look up Hot on the dictionary. i swear some times i wonder if these movie people even bother reading the book.

I know we aren't talking about Twilight, but that's how I felt when they cast Rob as Edward. WHAT WAS HARDWICKE thinking????????????? So basically I hope that the next sets of books made in to movies take in to consideration that the AUTHOR has made the guy characters to sound hot and it's not just us who want a hot actor to play the part, even though we do, but please try to stick to the script of what the character is supposed to look like!!!!! So there ya go..that's my thoughts. lol

Not how I picture Jace at all when I read the books but I guess I'll just wait and see.
While reading TMI series, I always imagined Jace to look like Alex Pettyfer and am probably not going to see the movie since I hate book-to-movie reconstructions.
Well, the movie doesn't come out till 2012 so Jamie still has a chance to bulk up and get some nice abs. Hollywood can make miracles happen although I still wish Alex Pettyfer got the part. As long as they don't mess up Magnus. Then I would be mad.

Jamie Campbell- Bower is a good actor but I love this book that I was expecting more...how do I phrase this..I've expected that the actor will be more muscled I guess,am not saying that he's not..handsome with the aura of a "don't mess with me" but a kind of guy who'll you'll definitely love though he is sort of having that bad boy image...whew...hard to explain but that's it.Anyway, let's just wait for the movie.
OK, that is an awful picture of him. i don't see any similarities between him and Robert Pattinson. He is a good actor, and needs to be given a chance. Heck, Ginny Weasley thinks hes great! I think he is gonna shock everyone with this role.

I Love Alex too, but it is offical that he is doing the part! I can't believe im saying this ,but people Get Over it! He is actually is a great actor! With makeup, and new hair style and the gym he wont look that bad!
I pictured Jace to be wayyyyyyyy smolderingly cuter than this guy, however, I'm holding faith in Cassandra Clare who said that she watched his audition tape and that he wasn't just playing Jace, he WAS Jace. So, I hope she's right. Personally I don't see it, but I hope to overcome it and enjoy the movie anyway. It's not that I think he's a terrible actor or anything but he's not what I pictured.
