I think Jamie will do perfectly fine, and I have confidence in him. Even if he isn't "perfect" now, we can't judge him until we actually see the movie. I bet after he gets transformed into Jace, no one will have a second thought about him playing the role.

This is actually quite interessting, if not hilarious. Nobody sat questionmarks at Pettyfers interest in playing Jace. We all just assumed that Alex would love to play Jace. Nobody questioned his interest in this role. Very funny!

oh rite. i'd have prefured him as jace more than as daniel. daneil's more annoying and jace is way better in the books i think!
yeah thats what i think too, expcept i dont think daniel is annoying much, but jace is WAY better than daniel :)
i think he looks better in other pictures..that's just how he looks in eclipse...he's not what i pictured Jace to look like but who knows maybe he will do a good job.

I do not understand why one would still choose Alex Pettyfer. He said no to Jace role and yes to Daniel role.

That fanmanip did him no justice.Besides Cassandra Clare wrote that the chemistry that Lily and Jamie had during auditions made her cry because she knew they were her Clary and Jace. She called his audition "uneffingbelievable".

I think that was enough for me to trust her choice in Jamie. After all she did create our Jace.

Ew. Really? Maybe some Hollywood styling will make it better. He seems weak.
at the moment, he doesnt seem extremely visually appealing to be honest... but then again, fans always quarrel about book-movie castings. for hunger games, i was kinda worried about josh hutcherson, but after they released the 'Entertainment' cover, I was like "OMG he can do it!" so, i'm gonna side with Cassandra Clare for now despite my doubts for JCB.
there is also a better looking picture of him that for me makes him look more like jace, can't remember where but i think it was fan made. so i am now a believer in that JCB can pull being Jace off.
Well he doesn't look like Jace to me,but i think that mostly has to do with the picture, or wateva, if Cassandra Clare thinks that he could pull it off maybe he can. I'm sure he'll surprise us all.
I don't think that he looks like Rob Pattinson, but I fo sho thought they were gonna cast Alex Pettyfer as Jace. I am pretty disappointed but still can't wait for the movie.

I am so disappointed with who they picked as Jace, I totally saw that guy from Beastly as being Jace.

I liked Alex in Number 4 I thought his aditude was so much like Jace! If he didn't want to do the Mortal Instrument Sieres than he should at least do Fallen! I think Jamie is a good actor because I liked him in Sweedy Tod, but I never saw him as a Jace and I agree he is way to skinny for being Jace. Hopefully he will build up more and we will have to trust that he is good or the movie will bomb!!!:(
I think Alex Pettyfer of Benjamin Stone would have been perfect!!!!! Jace is... Too... ugly... Sorry. It's the truth, he needs better abs, to shave, and for his hair to be more like Alex's. His hair just is gross.

yeah I know!:( Very Sad!Jamie is a Good actor don't get me wrong, but he just doesn't look like Jace. I think if the movie does great I think everyone will love him and think he was perfect for the part. And he had to try out so there must be something that was what the director was looking for.:)

benjamin stone actually AUDITIONED FOR JACE!! and cassie clare and lily collins thought he was really good and they both really liked him!!!!! but then jamie walked in.... and i hate to say it but he ruined my impression of jace. now, I cant make myself think that jace is hot anymore... jamie is just NOT HOT.
Honestly, people calm down. The reactions towards Jamie based on his looks alone is shocking. I agree that he's no smoking hot Alex Pettyfer or Benjamin Stone, but he is not ugly. He may not look as deliciously sexy as the Jace we all individually imagined but he managed to impress Cassie, Lily, and the whole casting crew to get the role. Why not just get pass his appearance for one moment to realize that he has something special that the other candidates didn't?I'm not sure if some people have seen him in Prisoner, so I'll just leave these here.
