The story's fun, and it does get confusing near the end. From a literary perspective it's very simple writing.

I loved the series too, but thought the first couple were better, but then as the amount of characters (and their involvement) built up, and the more bobby learned, the more confusing and less fun the series got. It really depends on what your looking for in the books :)
i love this series! i flew through the first 5 books in less than a month and i am happy with this series so far. The first book is what got me hooked and i can't wait to see what happens next in the second half of the series.
This series starts out with kind of a comic book feel, but as the story gets more involved it takes on a much more serious tone. I think after book 3 the series gets much better and from book 7 to the end it is great! The Quillan Games is my favorite.
i love this series, im on the sixth book...it is a great book to start the series off with i think. The fifth book is the best!!!
I found the first in the series really boring. This may have been because I read the eighth one first, but this one was just... dull.
I LOVED THE SERIES! I couldn't get enough. I loved Bobby's character. I best loved the concept of all the different travelers and different territories. The series gets better with each succesive book. Book ten is simply the best. All of your questions will be answered, and all of the marbles will be spilled. I will admit that it was hard to get throught book nine, simply because it felt like a "lead up book". The books were never confusing for me, and I read them from third to eighth grade. I loved the series. I hope that you will too!
I love this series. I especially like the Quillian Games. The beginning confused me a bit, and it is a little dull, but the series is awesome.
I personally love this series, it's my favorite. I actually traded Harry Potter for this one when I could only afford so many books. I haven't read the first book since I was around 14, but what I remember is that it was a great hook and leaves you wanting to know more. The series picks up after that, especially after book 5. That doesn't mean the others are bad, though, they just feel a little stand-alone.
