      Diona screeched angrily at Taro. "Back off!" she snarled, "If you're at all fond of you're eyes!"Taro chuckled, a sound that was more of a garbled growl than anything else. "You're a feisty one, aren't you" "I can be a lot more than feisty!" Diona said, a defiant gleam in her eyes as she bared her fangs. Taro rustled his wings. "Don't attempt to fight me, youngling. It wouldn't end well." He warned.

      Ooooooooo. Sweet. I kinda want to know where this is going.

      "Oh, so now you're threatening me?" Diona sneered. Taro's jaw tightened. "I was sent to protect you, not threaten you." He said, trying to control the irritation seeping into his voice. "But, if needs be, I can always take you by force. It is your choice. If I were you, I would follow instead."

      "Very likely" Diona snorted. "Not until you give me a better explanation. What exactly are you supposed to 'protect' me from? I can take care of myself- and have been doing so for the past few years." Taro considered the question for a moment. "I can't say there is no sense in your reasoning." he said. "The the Vasyk have been out and about lately, and there are strange doings in the south. Reports of black magic and sicknesses. A few of us were sent to gather all of the other dragons up to the north."

      Trey walked down the street, whistling. The sky was slightly overcast, just barely obscuring the sun, but not threatening rain. Truffles tugged impatiently at the leash as Trey ambled slowly along.

      Drew spotted Trey rounding the corner. "Trey!" Drew called. Drew ran over to where he had stopped. "Trey, is Emy home?" Drew looked around Trey to see a girl figure running up the street.

      "She's back there someplace." Trey said offhandedly. "Couldn't keep up." "Pfft!" there was a derisive noise from right behind him. "Just because you took off as soon as I had to stop and tie my shoe! I could beat you in a race any day!" She glanced past him. "Hi Drew!" She exclaimed happily. "What brings you out this early hour?"

      "I thought I would take a walk. Get some fresh air" She said observing the sky. "I think it might rain." The sky was a dark grey now. "Emy, do you want to come over later on?"

      "Sure!" Emy said. "Hey, what about me?" Trey put on a pouty face. Emy rolled her eyes. "just ignore him" She advised. "He's worth listening too almost as much as Truffles is." Truffles panted and whined. Emy scratched him behind his ears. Trey then assumed a hurt expression. "Well, I certainly know when I'm not wanted!" he huffed. But all the same, he stayed in one place. "What have you been up to lately?" Emy asked Drew, being true to her word and ignoring Trey.

      ((I'd prefer you guys did this in the practice Roleplay, it's considered spam in this one, did you want me to make you guys a separate rp topic?))

      (oh, sorry. Sure if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Its just I thought it would be confusing if we were doing two role plays at once on the same topic if you know what I mean. Sorry again)

      "Nothing. It's been pretty boring." Drew winced as she felt the cold drops of rain fall on her head. "We had better get inside!" Drew grabbed Emy's hand and Trey's arm and pulled them both onto a porch out of the rain.

Also consider the setting, like medieval, modern, a war, a school, an island, fantasy, or anything. Then you see what is going on in the rp. If there is an event, or certain plot being played out, then think "What would I do in this situation with as this character?"
If there is no plot or events or nothing is happening, usually people rely on other people's charries to roleplay, and just go-with-the-flow. It is also useful to be able to rp by yourself. It is easier if you have more than one charrie to do so, but if you like only one charrie that is alright too. It is easy to rp by yourself (at least until something happens and then you can join in the event) all you have to do is look at your charrie. What does he/she do? What have they been through in their life? What is their intent in life, their goals, dreams, how do they react to other people or certain situations?
You can have co-characters, you don't have to make a profile for them. Like for example; your charrie goes up to the stableboy and tells him to take care of a horse. You can control co-characters like the stableboy, and you don't have to make profiles. You only have to have profiles for the main charrie(s) you will rp.
When you speak and it is "you" not the "charrie" then you speak in parenthesis (()). Like;
((How about my charrie comes over to you?))
So-so walks over to the fields.
When you roleplay, (disregard my example :D) try not to do just one sentenced posts. Think about your charrie's perspective on things, what they see, what they feel, what they know, and what they do. Try to imagine what they're doing and describe it as best as you can. Don't just say;
RJ sat on the bat and they flew off.
Try to do something like;
RJ yawned and looked at Squeakers. The bat was standing on the rafter, streching out his wings. It peered at him, and RJ scampered onto Squeaker's back and Squeakers flew off. It was cool to see the world from up high. Granted, it was dark and RJ couldn't really see anything, but he saw a lantern every now and again and he knew the town very well. Besides, it felt good to have the wind in his fur. Suddenly he smelt the meat. Meat. Meat. Meat!! RJ let his mouth hang open, as to better catch the sweet scent. Then two seconds later something hard hit his teeth and RJ screamed. He clawed at his mouth, and finally got the now dead bug out of his mouth and sent it sailing to the ground. "Ugh...." RJ shuddered nonstop for the next three minutes. Nasty... RJ went over his list of things to do. 1) Find the MEAT! 2) See RJ the Human and Lauren and his girl. 3) Find something else to do that might actual progress his life. 4) Find an adamant sword, some more matches, some bombs that were Lion sized. 5) Use the things in number four to do the thing in number five.
... But not so much. :D (This was taken from one of my roleplays). You really don't need to do something that long, but you might end up doing longer if you tried. :)
Make sure you don't powerplay or anything like that. What it means is doing something like;
(First mentioned is your charrie, second man mentioned is another person's charrie)
He got up from the ground and glared at the man, and ran over to him, grabbed his arm and snapped it across his knee, then punched the man in the face....etc
Try not to harm or do anything to other people's charries. Give them a chance to defend themselves or say something. Like;
He got up from the ground and glared at the man, and ran over to him, grabbed his arm, and was about to snap it across his knee to break it.
Battle scenes aren't the only things you can powerplay in. For me, though, they are the most common that I've seen.
To do a battle scene is easy if you know how, and personally I don't see how it's not easy. :) What you do is go through a battle scene, or certain ninja like moves you have scene, and say something like;
The girl ran up to the man, daggers in her hands that trailed behind her. The man brought his sword horizontal and thrust out at her, but she leapt up and landed on the blade, and ran across it. Before she reached the man he dropped his blade, the tip going into the ground, and thrust the hilt forward to strike her, but she leapt off backwards and landed on her feet.
Or something like that. It doesn't have to be ninja like moves, but they are the most fun. :D
