J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Hey guys;

My blog has a random assortment of stuff on it, and at the moment I'm running a series of author interviews and general guest-bloggery.

This week's blog is from the pen of Lexi Revellian, author of Remix and Replica and maker of particulary spectacular silverware (I kid you not, go look at the pics on her blog!)

The link is here: http://jaclement.wordpress.com and she talks about what made her come up with the storyline for her new book REPLICA, along with her views on e-publishing.

Anyone want to drop by, you know we'll love you for it!

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Wotcha peeps!

This week's blog is a dark fairytale from horror writer Lisa Hinsley - the challenge was to write a fairytale as it would have happened if she was the heroine!

Snow White it ain't! but if you're interested, here's where it is....

Cambria (cambria409) | 3305 comments Very cool. I can't wait to go read this. I love to read spins of fairlytales. I like to see how the writer can make it different but still the same, you know?
Have you ever read Beastly? I read it and the movie comes out on DVD the 28th here! I can't wait to watch it.

message 20: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (bookishevents) yvw, you have a great writing style, I really would like to see your work more well known.

message 21: by TC (new)

TC | 55 comments I voted too. I was surprised by some of the books on there. I mean, come on, how many more readers are there who don't know about The Hunger Games?

message 22: by Cambria (new)

Cambria (cambria409) | 3305 comments That is a huge list! And your right TC you'd have to live in a cave not to know about HG

message 23: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Errrrrr..... shall I come out of the cave now?

;oS

message 24: by J.A. (new)

message 26: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments I just found them at the top of the list ODS is on, anyhow. Has some good feedback from reviewers whose opinions I respect though - will add it to the list, maybe.

message 27: by TC (new)

TC | 55 comments Have to confess I thought I was the only literate person on the planet not to have read HG but obviously not. My local library strangely only has the second book in the series and last time I looked it still wasn't available on kindle in the UK.

HEHE!! That is too funny! I thought the same thing Cambria did, I had no idea it wasn't available EVERYWHERE! That surprises me!

message 29: by Cassie (new)

Cassie McCown (cassie629) | 713 comments I voted for you too...yesterday?? I didn't have time to go through the WHOLE list...

message 30: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Thanks Cassie! Well I figure being on the front page is not a bad place to be!!

Amy, dunno if it's available, I just haven't heard of them. But then if it's set in America of the future, they'd prob be marketing in there predominantly.

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments The Archangel. Big, BIG jellyfish.

That's why it will kick the ass of your demon.
...er... or at least sting said demon considerably and then ingest it.

JAC

message 47: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments Lol, good! I am tired of the demon lol.

I see a cage match!

Love your take on fantasy too. I love good fantasy but I hate it when it is too fantastical. (if that makes sense)

Splitter

message 48: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Well, you know you can always send the demon round here if you think it need a good handbagging. Think "Hell's Grannies" in training...hehheheheh

Cool! Well I figure there are enough dragons out there already, and I enjoy them when they're right- but I always did have to do something different. Just contrary, me!

You should read Robin Hobb if you haven't already! got my whole family (non-fantasy fans) into reading fantasy with her stuff. Fab...
