I know that feeling - last night was a few hours off as a reward. I've been reading book two today as my study breaks in between writing. Why oh why did I decide it was a good idea to go back to study again...

I'll be surprised if the Mum turns out to be anything other than an evil b*tch.
Really great world building - gave enough detail to make the world feel real without being boring. You can tell the author had put some real thought into the world and how it works. At a guess I'd say the whole psy-net issue is more complicated than initially portrayed.
I was surprised at how easily Sascha adapted to a totally different way of living. A bit too easily really.
I thought the whole new class of psy was interesting - I'd predict that there will be a few more classes that come out of the woodwork.
Lots of intriguing secondary characters. I wonder who will be cat/wolf combo? And what would that make their children?
Hawke and Sienna definitely getting together, but I liked that the connection between them wasn't sexual (she's seventeen - that would have been a bit iich). I really want to skip to his book (which is apparently number ten - but I've been told I'm not allowed).
Where were all the humans?
Sex scenes were great and really used to further the storyline. Only thing I found annoying were the "fireworks".
Really liked the casual touching between the changelings - made an interesting juxtaposition with the psy who only touch for practical purposes.

I was thinking about the wolf/cat hybrid. I wonder if the children would be one or the other.
And I think dear old Mom is already an evil Beotch!
I loved the way that Sascha just came right out and told them that she was broken and the psy were going to kill her. She just accepted her fate and once she decided she was going to trust her new companions she just laid it all out on the line.

It'll be interesting to see if you guys end up liking the Shifter couples, or the Psy mix better. I can't decide because i honestly like them all so far. They each bring something interesting.

I asked her what would the cat/wolf hybrid be like. She immediately starting singing the theme song to Nickelodian's CatDog cartoon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nOk9F...
Made me laugh.

but there is a human/cat one before that which is interesting and a psy/psy one as well

I asked her what would the cat/wolf hybrid be like. She immediately starting singing the theme song to Nickelodian's Cat..."
Your wife is just too funny! Now i have that song stuck in my head.LOL

for those of you who have read more...who the heck are cooper and grace - they don't have a story right? or is it in one of the novellas...

Hawke and Sienna are the story I'm champing at the bit to read though...
I'm liking that there isn't one set couple type (i.e. psy-changeling). And that each of the couples feel differently because of their races.

You're killing me by the way people, I have a stack of books to read before I can get to Branded by Fire.

Penney, I applaud your restraint. I read all the books in the series (till book #8) at one go (much like Tania, but slower).
Dee, I don't think Cooper and Grace got a book (yet). I don't remember any of the novella involving them..

They're not a slow read for me - in all honesty I can read one in under 3 hours. I'm writing at the moment which means I allow myself a break every hour for fifteen minutes, which I use to read. And I've read the last 5 on my sony e-reader touch - which if anything speeds up my reading. I'm trying to get my hands on the audiobooks but as usual there is the audible not releasing them in australia issue...
Taking a break from them now though. Decided to go with Nice Girls Don't have Fangs in audiobook for a change.
