Thank you Anje, I will take it from here.
I cannot let this pass without a teeny bit of information. At this rate, you could be speaking of a tropical island off the coast of Russia. Leading us to a page you did not read? Maybe. I see well I guess one could admit to re-writing history.
I see what is happening, and if you want information, let me study. I will simplify terms, no?

Alright, just this once, I will accept, but truly if you need help, we'll proudly drape open your countries flag and dig into the story behind. Antje is amazing at finding anything on the internet, and I from odd human and paper sources within the compounds of my own home.

Things to remmeber are never to pick fights with bigger nations, to keep yourself in check and most of all, rule number one, don't die.

Nation age: Cannot find...
Gender: Female
Human Name: Isabelle-Jean Plaza (people just call her Izzy)
Human age: 22 (turning 23 soon)
Capital: Manila
Birthday: Some time on 30,000 BC
Personality: Isabelle is a natural fighter. She likes to watch people get into fights and is pretty serious at times. She's a math whizz, so don't even try besting this chic. She was the smartest girl in the school all the way up and into highschool. But sometimes people get jealous of her, which she hates. She's headstrong sweet-heart, but she's definetly not girly. In fact, she tends to hang with the guys rather than the girls. Why waste all her time shopping for shoes and dresses? She'd much rather spend her money on a PS3.
Isabelle is actually very tomboyish, and she hates brats. But people often take HER for a brat, and that really pisses her off. Isabelle is always active, and isn't lazy. If she's in a group project, she ends up doing 99% or all of the work herself. People think they can just leech off of her brains and make her do all the work. She enjoys horse-back riding (she's an expert. No one can beat her.), swimming (fastest of them all), sprinting (you wouldn't believe how fast...), doing cartwheels and backflips, and more. She's very athletic and has got a ton of spunk. She's brave, not a coward and it's really hard to freak her out. She's a tough nut to crack, because she's so stubborn.
Izzy loves food, and has a lot of delacacies she can whip up. She is an amazing cook, so you don't have to worry about having egg shell stuck in your pancakes. Izzy has eaten a dog before, and she said she found it "alright", but she doesn't really care for them. She has plenty of other favorite foods.
You may not believe it, but the Philippines HATES being in the limelight. She gets nervous when people start looking at her, and prefers to stay out of everyone's watch. She can be strong willed about it thoguh, and won't back down from a challenge. It's very easy to agitate her, therefore she has a reputation of beating up a lot of people. Not to mention her wits. Her tongue it just as sharp as the tip of a shark's tooth. Izzy is very sarcastic, and most people don't know what to say when she bites back at them.
Although she seems very tough, she can be nice to her friends. She's very protective of them, and people tell her she's motherly, the way she acts at that time. Her spirit is actually very care-free and she's almost always in high spirits. She's very humorous, but she can be serious and is the right person to talk to if you have anything personal troubles on your hands. She cannnot act romantic if she doesn't really feel like she loves someone, but is a very tough person, often considered cold
When she gets offended, she changes from a very tough girl to a robotic, eerie person. When you ask her what's wrong, she'll say: "Nothing. It's fine. I am alright." in a chilling monotone voice. This is how she hides her emotions, so you can't tell what she's feeling when this happens. She actually starts breaking down if she gets lonely, because she has so few that "understand" her.
Perhaps she's lonely.
Why don't you talk to her?

Enemies: Spain, and she used to hate Japan. I said used to, right?
Siblings: Madagascar, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Polynesia.
Crush/Love: America, but she's very much open.
Other:She is a very talented singer, and is well known for it. She likes swimming, horseback riding, reading, sprinting, eating,

"Relations between the Philippines and Japan have rapidly improved since the end of World War II. Modern relations between the Philippines and Japan are very close and Japan is a key trading, economic and possibly military ally of the Philippines. Japan has also assisted the Philippines in building tunnels, bridges and highways (motorway) in Metro Manila, and is a main source of rail equipment and advisor for rail transport development. In 2005/2006 Japan dropped an US$8 billion debt with the Philippines and after the Leyte Mud slide Japan deployed soldiers to Leyte to assist Filipino and foreign workers. There are thousands of Japanese nationals/citizens (civilians) living in the Philippines (see Ethnic groups in the Philippines for details). Japanese business people have opened a large number of businesses in the Philippines offering jobs to Filipino workers."
"The Philippines was the lone Spanish colony in Asia for almost three and a half centuries. There continues to be mixed feelings between many Filipinos towards Spain and the common negative resentment most Filipinos have towards the colonial mentality that has been ingrained in many Filipinos, but relations have improved significantly over the years since after independence. Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo concluded her second state visit in Spain in July 2006, bringing back millions of dollars of Spanish investments, particularly in Tourism and Information Technology. The Spanish king, Juan Carlos I, also reiterated in Mrs. Arroyo's visit, his support for her project in the Philippines to re-establish Spanish as an official language in the country. He and his wife, Queen Sofia attended the 1998 centennial celebrations in Manila, commemorating 100 years of independence from Spain. The mediation of King Juan Carlos I is said to have produced the pardon and liberation of 2 Filipina domestic workers sentenced to death in Kuwait and the UAE."
Just thought I'd point that out, current foreign relations matter just as much as history

Okay~ I'll change it~

... Dude. I am Filipino. And my name is Isabelle-Jean."
But a personification of a nation should have something a tad more traditional

... Dude. I am Filipino...."
I am describing myself in her form. But not the brains part. I refuse to change her personality.

I was just thinking it didn't seem very traditional.
Like I'm French, half but fully if that makes any sense and my last name would never be used for a French person. It's entirely too British. My first name even is more spread out but could be from many languages.
I think you need something distinctively Filipino, something that really brings out the Philippines in her.

You do realize that Hetalia OCs are supposed to be a mixture of history, culture and steryotypes. Not just you as a country/province/state/city
