Aloisious Mason I'm in the late 70's and read some popular quantum physics books to stay sharp. They seem to say that reality is a product of our imagination. And a product of The Universal Spirit. i.e. God. Sorry, but it's in there.

Rejuvenate?
I believe nothing is going to rejuvenate Goodreads. It has gone downhill ever since Amazon purcha..."

A good quote from "Brave New Mars"--- "When it's done for profit, all the love goes away." Peregrine Walker
The money goal can dominate all other motives and cause cruel decisions to be made by the executives.

Maybe "BRAVE NEW MARS" would be a good read for the monthly group. It's author's comments here have rejuvenated this sleepy board a bit ;=]
How do I find the monthly group readers?

Go to Discussions in the upper right corner and click on it. If you scroll down you will find various threads for Monthly reads. Be warned though, the most recent seem to be early 2022, and some are even older.

I see what you mean, C John.
The Goodreads navigation program is about as bad as one can get. With all of Amazon's money and talent they could make it beautiful to surf, but where's the profit? the money-minds think with their wallets and leave this website in the pitts to go downhill and get rid of it...
That's the theme of the big new scifiction Brave New Mars.

Richard (thinkingbluecountingtwo) | 235 comments Aloisious, there is an entire section here

for promoting your book. There’s no need to inappropriately push it in other threads.
Pleased to hear your opinions on other subjects though, it’s nice to see a little more activity from this excellent knowledgeable group.

Happy to say that I'm still a constant reader, at the ripe old age of 52. It remains my favorite hobby.

I think I read somewhere that there was a big spike in reading for a short while due to Harry Potter & Hunger Games. and then after those series completed, amount of reading went right back to where it used to be. alas!
