aprilla Scent of the Missing: Love and Partnership with a Search and Rescue Dog
Has anyone read this? I just got it and can't wait to get into it, sounds like it will be really sad, but also very interesting.

aprilla Started this yesterday, about 3/4 through now and enjoying it very much. A lot of description about general and SAR dog (and person) training which I'm enjoying, mixed with home life in a house full of dogs and cats.
I thought it would be more of a tear jerker but it's written in a more matter-of-fact way. It doesn't hide the gruesome details of the job but these are presented as fact/work and so feel slightly detached from soft emotion, as I guess they (SAR) are trained to deal with such.
It's audio and the narration is good too.
